Great work on your effort on finding the person in such bad weather conditions, you have our most deep respects. Brave crew of Hastings. 👍🏻🧑🏻

The words that struck home “This will make us into lifeboat people. As you read in the books”.....”the families at home have no idea whats going on or if we are Ok.!”... Training and equipment are only two legs of the triangle, the third is the people. Its like a 3 leg stool if you have all three then the stool is stable and “does the job”. The dedication all crews have is legendary. Andy gave a glimpse of the reality. Hat off in respect. Amacf

Proud to be part of the crew at Hastings, and to be able to save lives with the fantastic training and state of the art equipment that the RNLI provide to us, the volunteers, across all the 238 stations around the country.

As always, amazing work, amazing people, voluntarily putting themselves in harms way to help others. The true definition of selfless heroism. I applaud you all. Thank you for being there, and in the nicest possible way, I hope I never need you!

I live in Hastings & was there on the day at the boat house ! Crazy how bad the sea was and watching the RNLI boat Plowing through it all ! Amazing job you do . Although it is a shame you all put your lives at risk for the stupidity of a few .

I do know what you mean but people are and should be allowed to go out and have fun in the wilderness. To err is human. I’m pretty sure the lifeboat rescuers agree.
