Monika=Kuudere Natsuki=Tsundere Yuri=Yandere Sayori=????? This is my opinoin Alright there's a lot of controversy as to if monika should be a yandere. Heres why she isnt. Here is a quote of what yandere means according to google: A character, usually a girl, who fits the archetype of being genuinely kind, loving, or gentle, but suddenly switching to being aggressive or deranged, often homicidally so. Never do we see Monika be aggressive really. Throughout the majority of the game, she's confident, friendly, and loving. Also, she doesn't act homicidal either. She simple reprograms their files, to make them all suicidal. And even then, she dosent add anything new to their lives to ruin it. She worsened Sayori’s depression, made Yuri be suicidal instead of just prone to self harm, and made Natsuki’s dad, who was implied to be strict and mean from the start, abusive. Thats why Monika is not a yandere in detail. Monika: A kuudere is cool and confident. I understand that also adds aloof, and I would give it to Yuri, but shes not cool or confident. As I just stated before as well, she is NOT a yandere. Shes a hacker. Self aware. Plus, she occasionally is aloof, hanging in the back of the classroom. Sayori: I do agree with the deredere type, so im gonna end this one here. Natsuki: Fairly obvious. Yuri: Heres a bit of controversy. I still believe she is a bit of a yandere. Before monika intervened, she already had bad habits of cutting herself with knives. I understand that she could be a different dere, but id have to do a little more research. To all the people who said Yuri should be a Kuudere, I don’t agree. A Kuudere is depicted as Cool, Confident, aloof, and introverted. Yuri is in no way cool or confident. She is shown to be introverted, but not aloof. She doesn’t actively avoid people, she tries to talk to them. She also is a bit of Dandere, but for the most part, she is a little bit of yandere. Plus, it’s never stated that a yandere cant kill *themselves* for love. But, when the main character accepts or rejects her confession, she stabs herself. When I saw this scene, the first thing i thought when she fell was, was she going to kill me too? Thats why i chose them

Actually *Natsuki* is a Word That means ‘being beaten By dad’ Edit: For those who say that it also means ‘Summer, Hope, Bruised by Dad & Gullible’ guess what, You’re correct! it’s just that the word ‘Natsuki’ has multiple meanings thanks to the different three versions of the Japanese language. edit 2: Forgot to mention it also depends on how you say the name, alot of Asian languages depend on pronounciation; I you say it as “Nat-Tsuki” it means “bruised by dad”/“beaten by dad”, if you say “Natsu-Ki” it means “vegetable moon”.
