@@kiwifarmernz yeah they are both good fellas I grew up on a dairy farm and did contracting for a couple of years, they said my stockmanship is already there, obviously I have no idea how to work/train dogs which they are good because they are showing me that at the moment, I love it, I love all of it haha, but I only have one shot at the whole change with a young family and my wife who’s a large animal vet is hoping we don’t have to move too far away as she loves her current practice and is now the head vet there since the old guy retired, so I’m just taking that financial hit to live out the dream and make sure that I’m sure that whoever hires me will be happy be happy and keep me on for a decent period of time

We use a 50mm diameter auger on a post hole borer to make a pilot hole for our pole planting. Bit easier than making a hole with the spike. Unsure how it would go with your gravel soils

I am thinking of calving later do you see any benefits of calving in August as opposed to maybe October?

We normally start at the start of September. We usually have saved feed then once they have calved the grass starts to grow. This is a tough season. We calve for 8 weeks so by the time the last one is born it can be quite late in the season for a start of may weaning.

A few guys I watched had their hunting videos removed as YT had a sook over them, so they went Rumble, or just left. Even if they use hunting dogs they are gone. Some go black and white or fuzz it out for blood. Even with all the warning signs people still get upset. And yet it is ok by YT to have young girls doing fully frontal nudity, go figure. Keep up the great work of what real life is all about

It's not KZbin getting sooky, it'll be just one tool complaining with nothing better to do. Feel sorry for that person. I tried to vote for your tribe but I'm in Queensland, 32 degrees today. Talk about the ground taking off in these temps after recent rain. I had a look at the voting, I'm not eligible to vote and wanted to vote for all involved anyway. Hope some of the lambs stay as pets in the paddock.
