This portion of the 2-day workshop will be about the fundamental costs of saving these historic landmarks, successful case studies of adaptive reuse, and historic preservation technology techniques to advance the saving of these sacred spaces. An in-depth analysis will be presented about building acquisition, early cost estimate exercises, architectural/engineering/contractor fees, actual construction costs, securing tax credits, etc. The case studies will supplement the financial discussion through projects throughout the Midwest.
