Indeed! The music should always come first, like you say. What I meant to say was that I think Jacob could have a very positive influence on the current industry with his awesome grooves and delicious harmonies. Something other artists could learn from, and implement in their own work. =)

3:05 is one of my favorite musical moments ever. Listen to the Hi-Hat!!! I always crack up every time he goes from the quintuplet all the way down to 1 note per beat. Even more interestingly, the subtle shifting gives the illusion of the next subdivision before you get there. Perfectly imperfect. Like a controlled demolition. You're hilarious Jacob.

Ive had the concept for a one man band all simultaneously performing just like this for a long time! Except that I play heavy metal. Man, I would give anything to learn how you do your videos. This blows my mind and also shows me that it is entirely possible. Just wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are a huge inspiration to me, Jacob.

At the risk of offending Jacob fans. One admires Jacob, but Prince MOVES you. Don't get blinded by all the composition chops, idea after idea after idea. It's cool and all, but when Jacob writes something like "The beautiful ones" I'll be blown away...it's so emotional, it speaks to the heart. Jacob should go into the world and LIVE, get dirty and then write tunes. He's so gifted, now he needs something to say more than this stunt-composer stuff.
