I like to point out that Gibson used the flip out winders well into the 2000s. They came on the Gibson Country Gentleman (Chet Atkins). Everyone always says "80s and pre-80s" but they used (ostensibly made) them till 2005 at minimum.
@drjsmajorАй бұрын
Also--tip for guitar case odors I have found. Wal Mart sells a product called "Nature's Miracle Pet odor eliminator". If you DOUSE the case with about 1/4 of the bottle, let it air out and dry, then repeat x 4--it seems to take out all odors. You have to douse it, then kind of rub it around with your had to fully cover all sides of the little "fur" fibers.I have had huge success with that. Costs like $5 at Wal Mart. Learned the tip from a "hockey mom". Not sure who here has ever smelled "hockey stink" on unwashable hockey pads--but far worse than any other normal household smell I can imagine.

Black liquid tape (from Ace Hardware) works great at touching up tolex tears on old cases. It takes just a little care brushing it on and wiping off the excess; as it dries rather fast.

Very nice find on that 335 case. I have a 1968 ES-335 I got from my ex father in law and very very good friend. It is all original (the original bridge and tuners are in the case) but added a new bridge and tuners to make it more playable. Without going into the very detailed question that makes this guitar worth millions in sentimental value to my sons and I, I have been searching for a period correct case. His sons bought him a new case for it back in the 80’s, the original got lost after that. I do remember it had the orange lining like the one you have there. They don’t show up very often, and are sadly priced way out of my budget when they are available. Nice save, put that case to good use, I do love your channel.

I was going to purchase an sg, les paul and Flying v or Explorer, and purchased sg, I kept thinking the high e going out of tune. Actually, it was out of tune with itself. By nearly a semitone fret 17. The saddle was all the way forward on the tunamatic. the correct position turned out to be mid position. I have contacted Gibson, I a, in England, I paid the. To do a job, they didn't, that has cost them probaly +£3,000. I will head Japanese rout, staying clear of americn companies, because that really was bad, just change to local leather strap maker a d string maker, rotosound.
