I respect the open emotion. Especially on stream. I'd be lying if I said a random sad story never got me to tear up. Sometimes they hit the right notes. This one hit close to home for a lot of us MMO players who have made many connections, and probably lost just as many. Keep doing you Sav.

@@MinnySteppa Yeah I'm starting to get numb with these. In every mmo I play, I excel too much compare to my peers. Good stats, endgame gears, recordkeeper, top 3 within the job, and with the rarest/most expensive mounts and fashions. I usually have a certain routine. Solo player > invited to a small guild > it gets bigger guild > toxic competition occurs > unsync hunts > either leave or the guild just disbanded > play with my irl friends from other guilds. We, irl friends, usually don't join the same guild cuz every one of us can literally multitask 3 chars within raids, open world hunts, and some guild time trial against other guilds (as long as their is limited participants). It is only fun at the start. There's this one game we literally the only members of the guild and we came strong within top 5 guilds.

After that, the admins and mods of the game suspected our guild members of glitch abuse and that we're recruiting ignorant people to do it for us. That this happen one time, I got banned cuz I got a trade history with a farmer 2 months ago, a level boost scroll, which I don't need anymore. It really is a turn off for me that time, and I quit because of these from time to time. Hoping in many games. I only play casual ffxiv now since I'm doing more in irl now. Still a good game and no pressure.

Even if it's not this exact experience, every one of us had good friends that never logged in again or quit after drama. I had an amazing FC when I begin to play XIV, it was very small but everyone was friends, but time passed, some quit and other ppl joined and because of drama all the ppl I had the most affinity with quit the FC and the game soon after, and everyone went separate ways... I miss those good old days when I could join the FC discord chat and talk for hours while doing whatever in the game.

this shit is actually so real.. savix tearing up was not weird to me at all.. ive been in both situations.. the second is really tough though.. i remember forming a guild in a game and having it be completely taken over by people the people i invited. it wasn't malicious in any way on their part.. people just liked them more because they were always in discord chatting even when not in raids or groups.. it was fun in the beginning seeing everyone getting along so well.. but when you get left out of raid parties that you basically created and brought together yourself.. it hits a different way than jut not having friends to play with.. its a really weird feeling because its not jealousy or hate or anything like that... like you're glad all these people you helped bring together are bonding.. but when you feel like an outsider in your own "guild" its an awful feeling. its almost never intentional in video games but it hurts a different way. its like being an adult and not only getting picked last for a pickup sports game.. but not being picked at all.. and its your literal family. what sucks MORE is having to quit the game for like 3 months because your life gets crazy and when you come back.. your FC is either dissolved or no one has been on for weeks.. I miss my friends man.. i barily got to say goodbye to them..

this one really hit me hard in the feels, since i went thru this recently with some people who i thought were my friends the exact same thing happened we started with a group 4 me and another girl met from being in the same fc and after that i met a guy at limsa who was friends with another girl so we decided to all become friends and form a group together after being really go friends for a while we met a different group way bigger than ours and they invited us to form part of their group this was a CWLS btw,(im not going to name call anyone for obvious reasons) after a couple of months the 4 i was initially friends with started distancing themselves from me they would only hangout with the others and whenever i would try to hangout with them they would most of the time ignore me, it felt horrible, being betrayed is one of the things i hate the most in life and thats exactly how i felt at that give time so i decided to leave without saying a word i felt very sad for a couple of days the only thing that was able to stop me from quitting the game was my fc and my static raid party since it was something i am still to this day committed to, that experience has completely broken me tho, how could some people i called dear friends at some point do something like that to me (i thought to myself) after that i haven't been able to be as social even tho i'm a very extroverted and social guy i always try making friends wherever i go so it feels really bad when they inevitably leave. Please don't take your friends for granted even if you don't have time at least make sure you let them know don't just ignore them and leave them talking to themselves in chat also a relationship can't be healthy if its only one sided if you have friends in ff or wherever make sure you to let them know how much you appreciate them and that you also want to hangout with them.

Yeah, finding friends is very hard. That's why I think you shouldn't be stuck with those guys, just forgive and forget them. Start hanging out with other people and if they leave, so be it. Just treasure the ones that don't leave.

That "what's wrong with me" feeling that comes from the indifference of loved ones or, even worse, abandonment is soul crushing and universal. Every child has felt this. It's all too easy to empathize. When the lala said they were ready to quit and didn't feel needed, that was heart-breaking. The word "Disconnect" hangs there, as if describing what has went wrong in their relationship. I wonder...would I have cried if they weren't lalas?

Fun fact: The ending was a great call back to the start of their 1st-anniversary video ("[FFXIV-1stAnniv] A DAY IN THE EOLIFE" 7 Years ago) They have a bunch of fantastic videos tho /emote easily my favourite as it hits deep with me. I don't chat at all, I write letters amongst friends occasionally but I've experienced many of those same woes. I won't comment on the guild leader limit breaking and people calling FBI I don't see it meant as anything like that but a nice detail I loved is how the first group of friends just took, they wanted better gear she crafted the gear they wanted to flip to play healer so she changed and levelled a tank, they wanted a guild house and so she worked hard and gave them one. The first group of friends were just take, take, take and never give back what they got. This is shown not to be the case now by the new guild leader she makes them all beach outfits and he returns that care and includes her as apart of the group by giving her the same outfit as well like your one of us you're coming to.

Dang that hit home. Had that happen to me. Logged in FC was going to run something I asked if I could go then they just teleported to the dungeon. After that I never asked to join again and it was like I became invisible. I just one day logged in and left the FC and never saw them again. I eventually deleted that character and left FFXIV for 5 years. Freaky how that happens.

this hit me in the feels. i started playing this game because I streamer I watched forever started playing (no names/no shade on him or anyone else in specific), and I joined his FC. and 1 or 2 years ago he stopped playing, and the remnants of his FC have slowly degraded into a very Cliquey, almost passive agressive group. I've always been very quiet, but I used to love going to events, and get togethers. but over time, I've realised I'm not REALLY part of the group, and I've often thought about leaving the FC. i hate feeling like I have to try and not be forgotten. just last week a member got married and the invites were being handed out to everyone, and I wasn't offered one even though I said "I'd love to go :)" I'm learning that if you aren't in the static, in this FC, then you aren't really in the FC. i play VERY slow, (I have an obsession with doing EVERYTHING the game has to offer) so I'm not in the endgame yet, so I just get left out. i want to leave, but I don't know anyone else who plays, and I'm coming to hard truth that I don't really know these people either. it's a hard realization. but it happens to a lot of people. anywhere cliques can form, there is a chance of leaving people out. especially the quiet group like me, who would rather emote than chat.

You see i did quit FF14 because i participated in the Rp commnunity and didnt find a proper community to stay in. The game itself is beatiful as it is but i just feel extremly lonely playing, my friend that got me into the game didnt even took his time anymore to play with me or just cared more about other people. Iam starting to cry while writing this since i just feel iam alone.... FF14 is suppose to be famours for their lovely community and its kidness yet i played the game 1 year in pain and suffering because i wanted this fairy tail to be coming true some day.... but iam out of luck in that regard. I honestly just wanted to find a game that inspires me and keeps me going ..... rn iam just sitting playing a WoW pirvate server instead of expierencing what Savix does... yes he is a streamer and so on and he already has a community thats supports him... i get it. But where is my support when i actualy need it? I dont want to sound like a total dickhead but man....iam crying my tears out here just because i want some of this luck too. There's nothing wrong with that. You just have to go into XIV not expecting good PVP. I honestly wish the PVP was a lot better, but I knew what it would be going in so i've chosen to ignore that content especially after confirming my feelings after trying it. But the story hooked me hard in HW, and the class fantasy and class design is truly great. I do wish there was room for experimentation rather than min-maxers finding a single good rotation, and there not being different specs to make you feel a bit unique. But with the amount of jobs increasing they are kind of making up for that. And it also fixes huge balance issues when you dont have gear sets changing how abilities work everything is easier to balance
