Late to the party but ditto as per other comments, excellent video with a ton of great and accurate info. Best I've found as i was researching a bit about Armagnac. Typing this while having a dram of the same bottle but from the 1979 vintage. 45 years old and tastes beautifully fresh and full of complex flavors. It's got it all and the price was an absolute steal as well! Thanks again, cheers

Wow that was a awesome breakdown 👌🏾Just discovered Armagnac today and looking forward to my first purchase. My Fav Congac right now is Hennesy VSOP Privilege. Is there Armagnac I should go after first in that realm?

I think the 25-year-old Delord would be a great start... it should be in the same price range as the Hennesy VSOP Privilege and I think it's really tasty! It also should be pretty easy to find. Let me know what you think if you pick it up!

I've only ever had Hennessy about 20 years ago and I'm into Bourbon, what's 1 or 2 armagnac's I should try?

I think this bottle (Delord 25-year Bas-Armagnac) would be an awesome entry point for a bourbon drinker... it's easy to find and not super expensive. What bourbons do you typically drink though? If you tend to gravitate towards higher-proof bourbons, then this might be too low in proof (it's 40% ABV). So if that's the case, Domaine Tariquet has a range of cask-strength folle blanche armagnacs that I hear are pretty delicious and affordable!

Does this have any additives ?

That's a really great question! I'm not totally sure... legally distilleries can add caramel coloring, sugar (< 2 vol.%), and boise to their Armagnacs. I would think that if there were no additives at all, Delord would market that. Assuming that there are some additives, I don't find it blatantly obvious.
