By far one of the best Botswana Overlanding Videos I've ever watched. The Ellies at camp take the cup for me. My word, the leopards 🐆. I also love the fact that you were with family. Your channel is inspiring, and most importantly, informative. Totally enjoyed how filmed everything. Thank you Martin. The cheetah was the cherry on top. The Savuti pride is a once in a life time. I hope to go to Botswana one day.

Thanks for the comment and kind words. The elephants in camp is a common occurrence in Khwai, but it always catches us off guard. Adrenaline pumping. The leopards, or more in general, the cats surprised us a lot. We saw way more than we normally do. Thanks for following and supporting the channel by watching the videos.

Hi Martin & family, your videos are very good, I like this kind of tales, images, music and few words speaking. You show us how is your life in Botswana. We 've been two times in this beautiful country on a self driving safari and we hope to repeat our last July's trip next year. I keep some of your amazing campsites for our next time. Unfortunately we must to rent a car because we are so far to go there in our 4x4 camper. Thank u for sharing and who knows if we can meet there together some day !! 👍

Hi! What is the brand of the Pod you use to fix your camera at the car? Many of these pods are just available with suction cups but this one seems to be a very stable combination of a fixed pod with just one cup….
@OurLifeInAfrica3 ай бұрын
Hi. What pod are you referring to? For the camera we use to take video from the vehicle, we either use an oversized beanbag or on occasion the gimpro doormount. Inside the vehicle the gopro is mounted using the original gopro suction cup, and all the rest of the mounts are ram mounts.
@markuskurbes40483 ай бұрын
Thanks for your response! What i meant was the gimpro door mount. Looks very stable compared to most of the door mounts i have ever found! I wouldn‘t rely just on suction cups for an external car mount…

Martin you guys were so blessed with your time there! Really this is amazing stuff. Like watching animal planet. How long was the drive from Khwai & Savuti?
@OurLifeInAfrica4 ай бұрын
Hi Tim. Thanks for the kind words. Khwai and Savuti just kept producing over and over. It was a long drive. We turned off towards Savuti from Khwai just after 9am and arrived at 3pm. Around 6hrs. Yes we do take it slow and it included a lot of stopping and taking a break as well. I’ve heard of guys that drive from Kasane to Khwai in half a day. So it depends on what you are there for. We had a booking in Savuti, so we took it slow. We will start catching up on your solo adventure episodes this week. Have been in the Kruger for a few days.

Fantastic. Which is better in your mind September or December?
@meks4by4overlanding214 ай бұрын
Though the question is not directed to me Sept is the peak season, it better for most people, plenty of game sightings and all the roads are accessible, December can be rainy during your visit and some roads not accessible due to mud and game viewing also may be difficult as water is everyway and water holes will not be productive for game viewing opportunities... But will the scenery will be more beautiful in December due to green lush vegetation
@OurLifeInAfrica4 ай бұрын
@@warrenpfo thanks. It is a difficult one to answer, but as the other reply says, it is better in the dry months for sightings. The animals will be more concentrated around the river. And in December there will be more water around and the animals will be scattered. But thar said. The area has some amazing scenery and nice big trees, making the area flourish during December. And animals can still be found.
@OurLifeInAfrica4 ай бұрын
@@meks4by4overlanding21 exactly. It is still difficult to choose only one time of the year if I have to. The greenery in December is very nice and animals can still be found. In Sept it is very dry and dusty but the animals are abundant
