Saw 3D (also released as Saw: The Final Chapter) is a 2010 American 3D horror film directed by Kevin Greutert and written by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan. It is a sequel to 2009's Saw VI and the seventh installment in the Saw film series. The film stars Tobin Bell, Costas Mandylor, Betsy Russell, Sean Patrick Flanery, and Cary Elwes.
The plot follows a man who, after falsely claiming to be a survivor of one of the Jigsaw Killer's games in order to become a local celebrity, finds himself part of a real game where he must save his wife. Meanwhile, John Kramer's ex-wife Jill Tuck informs the Internal Affairs that rogue detective Mark Hoffman is the man responsible for the recent Jigsaw games.
Two sequels to Saw VI were originally planned, but due to the decline in box office success for the film, Saw 3D was instead made as the final installment in the series. The plot for the originally planned Saw VIII was instead included in Saw 3D. David Hackl, the director of Saw V, was originally set to direct Saw 3D, but two weeks before filming, Greutert, the director of Saw VI, took over. The film was shot in Toronto, Ontario from February to April 2010 and was filmed in RealD 3D.

The blood looked bright pink, because of something to do with the color for 3D. Like in the movies you watch at home. Has the same color you would swe with the 3D glasses.

The blood looks off because the dvd, bluray and digital versions of the film are from the Anaglyph (red and cyan) 3D transfer, so certain color corrections werent made and the blood looks pink.

Joyce being in the trap was a rewrite that the writers were very against specifically for the reason that she was innocent. Apparently, the original ending to the film was that Flannery's character would have won the game, and his wife would have left him and gotten a book deal of her own. I feel like that wouldve been a better ending for sure. The film still has a ton of issues as it is.

Interesting considering how much people complain about the amount of cruel games his other associates were in. I know the original ending called for explaining that the two guys were the ones that helped Gordon capture Hoffman were also from the beginning. I'd love to know what else there was to the original idea for this final chapter as a two part story if you have anything else to add. Or if the writers have said recently what they wanted to do.

I never got the scene of the lovers triangle shown out in public for people to see, I only saw all the films till jigsaw and I dont remember a public trap, was it just done for sake of it or did I miss something explaining why? And yes matt is 100% correct in the inconsistencies in the films.

That's because the script is a mess from the studio wanting to screw over the director and the writers who really wanted to do a two part finale without the 3D gimmick. The original intent was to have Dr. Gordon in the beginning seeing this trap/game play out in public and the grand reveal is that it takes place in the past with John Kramer being present also. Making him an accomplice. The second story was just going to be about Bobby and his sales team.

Great Review Matt, personally I Still Love Saw 7, But I just rewatched it I would say it is a Pretty Flawed Movie my Only Problem is after rewatching it I thought the Twist was Stupid, Cause it doesn’t make sense that Carry Elwes’s Dr. Gordon became a Jigsaw Apprentice because Jigsaw forced him to Make Horrible Decisions in order to Survive, he hired a Guy to Murder Gordon’s Family had to Saw off his Own Foot that’s I feel like it Somewhat Ruined The Gordon Character Cause I bought him as a Good Guy In Saw 1, I Agree it would’ve been Cooler if Carry Elwes was the Protagonist In Saw 7, Plus I don’t Buy the Fact That Jigsaw hired Hoffman to Murder Jigsaw’s Wife Jill Because you’d think she’s been Helping Jigsaw with his Evil Schemes Cause she’s Married to him, Plus You’d think Bobby Dagen’s Friends & Wife wouldn’t be the 1s to die Cause they didn’t do anything Wrong it was Bobby’s fault that he Lied about being a Jigsaw Survivor Cause he should’ve been the 1 to die if he Screwed Up because it was all his Fault he did that, But Still I Love Saw 7, Great Traps, Good Gore, Great Actors, Solid Pacing, Carry Elwes, Costas Mandylor, Sean Patrick Flanery, Betsy Russell, & Tobin Bell did a Great Job too, not 1 of the Best In The Series, But 1 of my Favorite Saw Films IMO Great Review Matt

SAW Final Chapter Sucked one of the worst in the Saw franchise. Screw Hoffman the pos killing Jill with the bear trap and the blood looks pink in the movie probably because of the 3D effects and the plot was stupid. SAW 1-3 SAW VI & SAW X are the best ones.

I hate a lot of these movies. I don't even like the first one anymore. It doesn't hold up at all after my most recent watch this year. Saw X is the only one I can say I genuinely don't mind.

Spoilers : well to be honest if you haven't seen it yet it's been out for ages and don't. When the wife got cooked I was like huh? Really pissed me off. I know Mark is more out for blood than John even so , if someone believes your lies they deserve to die ?.

I say Final Chapter is still worse, the people in Jigsaw were perfect victims for the game. I also like the blender bike spiral. Even if it's a whole lot of nothing, it's still not insultingly bad like the Final Chapter. Seeing it around Halloween 2017, it felt like a wholesome slice of pumpkin pie. Even if it was a nothing slice of pumpkin pie. It also felt like it was not a requirement to watch all those lackluster sequels to understand the story. Even if the cinematography is really sleak and modern, it looks better too then the Final Chapter.@@iHussin005

I Love Saw 1, 2, 3, 4, Spiral, & Saw X there my Favorites in the Franchise Great Casts, Well Written, Well Directed, & Great Twists, Very Underrated I don’t get the Hate, Saw 5 is ok, & Saw 6 is a Ok Film IMO I Like them I just don’t love 5 & 6 there my Least Favorites In the Franchise, The Only 1 I dislike was Jigsaw cause it was Disappointing IMO & Poorly Written Film IMO
