Hi John, your friend Jim Gordan sent me here. I grew up using a 6 ft, crosscut saw, and never used a chainsaw until I was in my forties, got 20 years on you. Thanks for the great information from an old Maineiac.

Where in Maine? I grew up in Berwick. As a kid, I made my spending money cutting 4 foot wood with a bow saw. I'd get it out of the woods with the farm tractor with halftracks and an old truck frame we stripped and made into a trailer. Then cut it into stovewood lengths with a powered buck saw run off the PTO. The 'good'ol days!

I think a lot of people on social media in general are desperate for attention and maybe know something or not but generally just keep posting because they need feedback for themselves. You sir put out good useful information. Without frills, simply good informative videos. I appreciate your content and style of delivery.

John I’ve watched a bunch of your videos and they’re very informative. Well thought out by yourself. I learned quite a bit just by watching your videos and keep up the good work.

Thanks again for a new video. I like your applied method to determine bar wear, sort of based on cutting results rather than on measurements. I think your videos are by far the most technical of this genre' (I am by degrees: chemical and chemical engineering so maybe more biased towards technical presentations than some of your viewers?). As per your proposed future videos, not a big fan of guitar music (excepting that used in classical rock 'n' roll) but hey, could learn something about how my brain works or maybe even find out why it doesn't so much these days.
