Thanks for the video. I think the thing your not sure of is a "pressure relief valve". The adjustment sets the "over pressure" where it kicks in. If you bind/jam the tool with the tool valve/spool is open/running; the valve will open allowing pressurized fluid to return to the tank instead of either blowing up the pump or the tool. Similar to a bi-metal-switch or self-resetting-fuse.
