Our mother Sawdah Bint Al-Zam'ah [RA] wasn't the prettiest of all females, she wasn't the richest, she wasn't from a strong family, and she wasn't famous, yet at the same time she is most beautiful, the richest, from the best of families and very famous, because Allah connected her with the best creation in all of the existance.

@@zaihussain9069 Did you connect Ethiopia to her (r.a) and think she's dark skinned? My dear, there's no narration said she's dark-skinned or fair-skinned. It never matter what kind of color their (Ummahatul mukminun) skin were. She's not the most prettiest and she was old widow, but she has beautiful personality and heart. The point is, her strong faith in Allah SWT. and Rasulallah S.A.W.; her strength in pulling Rasulallah out of the saddest years of his life, Masha Allah; her kind of loving, to love Allah SWT and Rasulallah SAW more than she loved herself. How those qualities of her elevated her over the other muslim women.

Devi Shapfitri okay but saying she wasn’t the prettiest is an assumption too.. why did he even say that. is there a narration stating on her beauty? no. I don’t get why making a comment about her physical appearance is important in the first place.

@@zaihussain9069 Well, idk why the narrator in the video talk about her appearance. Maybe it's to highlight that: Even if people (the citizen of Mecca) considered she's not pretty, she had the most beautiful iman so Allah elevated her over the other muslim women. You have to ask the uploader. Most of the shira I've read never mentioned if she's beautiful or not, rich or poor. Most of it only said that she's an old widow while it highlighted her cheerfulness, wisdom, and generosity. But, when the shira talk about the other Ummahatul muslimin... Such as Khadijah Al-Kubra, Aisha bint Abu Bakr, Hafsha bint Umr, Zainab bint Jashy, etc; it said they're beautiful. So, idk. 🤷‍♀️ I need to read more books (shira and hadist). 😅 Wallahu'alam bis shawab.

Surah 49 al-Hujuraat(The Chambers) 11) يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا يَسْخَرْ قَوْمٌ مِنْ قَوْمٍ عَسَى أَنْ يَكُونُوا خَيْرًا مِنْهُمْ وَلَا نِسَاءٌ مِنْ نِسَاءٍ عَسَى أَنْ يَكُنَّ خَيْرًا مِنْهُنَّ وَلَا تَلْمِزُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ وَلَا تَنَابَزُوا بِالْأَلْقَابِ بِئْسَ الِاسْمُ الْفُسُوقُ بَعْدَ الْإِيمَانِ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَتُبْ فَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ Meaning: [O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.]

He's old (might be older than her) and fragile before they migrated to Ethiopia. Then they migrated back to Mecca. It's narrated that they didn't have much money, so I assume he's died of old age, or accumulation of old-people's illness, hard journey between Mecca and Ethiopia, and the torture they experienced in Mecca.
