This is where my mom used to work, and i'd come here many times to hang out! I am not in us anymore, so this does bring back memories

We used to go shopping here for back to school clothes and stuff back in the 1990's. It was the biggest mall I had ever seen I was scarrd if getting lost there.

Lol. The emptiness of the place. I live in FL and now I am 'going out more'. And I realize I didn't miss out on much.. From beaches, to places like this, I know people go to malls less for example, or even go out less sometimes, but I sortof am astonished that there is just 'no one around' sometimes. Yeah the way how there's literally like 'a family' you are not interested in or like '2 people' but it's funny how much infrastructure there is and yet it's so empty looking. People only go to these places 'at certain times' or whatever. Even if not it's like pretty boring. When walking around these abandoned looking places, it seems weird to me, I'd rather be like at home and play a videogame than being solo in FL. Such is life.

It’s supposed to be an factory outlet mall. It’s not. Just a regular mall but big.
@WanderWorld8989 ай бұрын
Probably just marketed that way, prices did seem relatively cheap when I was there but the main appeal is mainly the size

Newer malls like this lack the warmth, grandiose, and inviting appeal that older malls from the 80s had in their hey day. No water fountains, hanging plants, greenery, or much neon. This mall is very typical of newer malls. Very sterile, noisy and echoey, no water fountains, etc. It’s like a white purgatory. It has a rigid, impersonal, and cold vibe to it which is typical of newer malls or at least newly redesigned malls. 80s malls in their hey day gave off a vibe like, “relax, stay a while and enjoy yourself”. Newer malls like this one give off a vibe like, “no, you’re not here to have fun and enjoy yourself. You’re here to spend money and buy chit, not to admire stupid water fountains or be impressed by anything”. That’s why the food court in this mall feels like a high school gymnasium.
