Yes, it did, deernut. It jumped the sprocket and decided to fix it after we finished. The mill has to stop to put it back on. Thanks for watching and commenting

Either a guide pin problem or sharpness you. Do need to swage steel sawbits after about 3 or 4 times that you file

I run carbide so just gotta make sure she’s sharp and the pin is good and then you can cut buddy also when I’m sawing and the saw gets hot around the centre of the saw that normally means it’s a sharpness problem when it’s hot by the guide pin then your pin isn’t set right

Oh, I didn't think about the guide.

@TheWildWestMill I sure appreciate you sharing that. I'll try and see where it's hot at next time. Thank you for watching and commenting

@@templehillsawmill1748 yes sir if my saw isn’t cutting I always check the guide pin first cuz that’s the quickest thing to fix then move on from there. If you have gotten your saw hot a lot there might be no tension left in it it may have to be hammered

You should here like a pitter patter sound When your coming back for your next cut and inwsnt hearing that in the video so forsure check the guide. Hope I could help. Have a good one

I 😮😮 could've told U that saw bits don't like mud or dirt the bits won't keep a edge on them like and they won't stay sharp either 😮😮 if U keep getting saw logs like that U are going 2 power wash them 1ST 2 remove all of dirt and mud years ago the big sawmill had a log pond 4 them a wash rack be 4 they were sawed and a another thing that will ruin saw bits are nails and fence wire people years ago didn't use fence post they mostly pine trees or red cedar 4 a fence line U metal detector 😊😊 it's save U a alot of head ache and saw bits both I like the carbide saw bits myself the steel saw bits I don't much of 😮😮/ the carbide saw bits hold a better edge and stay sharp longer that's what dad would always use when he was sawing at the sawmill yep dad 2 sawed on a frick sawmill it was a hand set sawmill they changed it over 2 air dogs and it had a edger the edger done all of the trims U should look and see if any 1 else a old 1 U can get it's not often U have replace them is it straight have U checked the saw guide 2 see that the saw blade is running true from top 2 bottom U have 2 do this W the saw blade running there should be no flopping at all 😊😊 OMG 7 28 2O24
