Just a little additive:) I might not be able to break down every bit and elaborate. But I felt like that was a to the point additive

You said, less sawdust less waste. It is so simple but I never thought about it that way.

So I want to get to a point, to where I can collect the dust, white wood from the edgings, and the lumber, just from one log. Weigh the waste, and weight the product. And see it broke down percentage wise by weight!

¡Gran explicación sobre la diferencia entre el rendimiento esperado y el real del tronco! Muy educativo

I went for maximum width on those pieces!

The checking on the log showing at 1;22 is interesting.. It is significantly edge checked around the perimeter rather than through the heart.

I've been noticing over the past videos that the lower laser light height doesn't match where the lower saw blade cuts into the log.

I was wondering when someone was going to notice!! So those cables stretch over time! Honestly I’m mentally adjusting to it as it slowly happens. I’ve changed them back before, but I usually spend time readjusting myself when I do that😅 I just go until they’re about to break, and I replace them

That first log on the debarker sure was a crooked and bumby mess!
@Helmsburgsawmill7 күн бұрын
Oh yes! That’s why I wanted to get it on! Honestly at this point, I want to put really difficult debarking logs on😂 this one wasn’t too bad haha

Wouldn't the Doyle scale be more of a comprehensive guideline to be used to estimate the board footage?
@Helmsburgsawmill6 күн бұрын
You have to use a scale to pay loggers by. My Appalachian region uses Doyle. Doyle’s more accurate with big logs. My area’s sought after for the big veneer!

If you're going to do the anthropomorphizing of inanimate objects, shouldn't it be 'Chewbarka'. (The naming and constant referring to equipment and people by cutesy 'names' is why I unsubbed the bus motor channel.)

That and the mindless dribble. I wish Ian talked more but I’ll take what he does over mark any day.

Yeah I agree. It was ok at first but then got annoying. This channel is so much simpler and better IMO.

Totally agree ,I think marks channel should be called Mr Roger's saw mill ,Ian's channel is great
