Bingo! Thanks so much! Exactly what I was hoping to learn. With that, I can move forward. Mine similar, 10 ft x 26 ft roof 12 ft metal roof. I'm in deep snow country so will have to box in the mill head area. My wife from KY knows poplar. We here have hemlock, white pine and spruce. I'm going with the 20 foot LVL opening. You have a good looking shed ... thanks! Look forward to more of your knowledge/experience.

Here in Western Il. I would need more of your back side enclosed (would be North facing in my case to block winter winds & snow). But I'm still saving for my own mill. And I only have 1 acre atm too.

It will be worth the wait, hang in there, you'll get that new mill!!

Great video and very helpful. I've been milling some posts and beams and will start my mill shed in a few days.

Thanks for the video, it definitely gives me some ideas for my shed, especially how you put a post on the front to the left side, I like that you can reduce the clear span that way. I have the same mill and pretty much the same base that I built earlier this summer. One thing I’d like to incorporate into my shed is a middle beam to be able to turn and move logs with a winch.

Thanks for the kind words! I agree on the beam for adding a winch.. if I were to do it over, I would incorporate that into my build. Good luck with your shed!

I particullarly like the black and copper color combination and the LVL beam wide opening. Perfect size for what your purpose. It always makes a project more special knowing that you personal logged and milled the lumber used.
