I love you guys you represent the quintessential American family. I really hope you keep making videos. I'm going to go back and watch all of your Pacific Crest videos again that's how much I enjoyed them.

I will watch them eventually. I haven’t yet. I am afraid that video footage will take the place of my non-recorded memories….

LOVE the idea of using an old bag to make a dog sleeping bag. Totally stealing this. Thank you!

Is it me or has Chief shot up a couple of inches since last year? Great to see the family out hiking. Loving the views and the zombie apocalypse planning.

When you said your husband keeps asking you to compare that trail to the PCT, it made me think of Phoebe in ‘Friends’ when they went to Vegas and she kept asking everyone to compare that trip to their trip to London which she didn’t get to go on because she was pregnant lol. I wish you could hike full time…I love your videos!

Noooooooooo. Really? Just ri.di.cu.lously gorgeous. Huckleberries!! Crystal clear water. *sigh*. Does not get better. Cannot take this crazy peak sublime. Looking forward to seeing the whittled comb and spoon.

Wow!!! Stunning scenery!! Awesome to hike with family! Your dog is a real trooper (how old is she?). No skeeters or ticks? The lakes & streams look so refreshing to swim in. Loved watching this!!

Roxy is 10 but she is a huge trooper! We have her on that freeze dried dog food which is lighter to carry and she takes Glucosamine. No ticks… light skeeters but only a few times.

Wow!!! That is beyond gorgeous. Are there a lot of other backpackers around or is it pretty much the trail to yourselves? Seems very quiet. Looking forward to more beautiful scenery. Thanks for sharing. 🏕

Mid-week we only saw 1-2 parties a day. When the weekend hit it was pretty packed. You needed to get to the cool lakes early to grab a spot.

The horizontal poles are for tying up your horses. That's why it's a ways from the lake so the horse poop doesn't get into the water :>)

How I missed this adventure this past summer I do not know, but certainly glad to watch it, now in the depth of winter. So is Ted camera shy or is he just normally not loquacious?

Love seeing your dog on the trail. I plan on taking my dog Red on a thru hike but I am worried because he hates water. I am not sure why or how I can get him over it.

Hi! What ages did you start taking the kids backpacking?
@hrconthepct27242 жыл бұрын
Baby/toddler age we took them for multi night trips in the kid-hauler backpack. (Man those were some heavy loads!) Then 4-6 they started with their own little packs just carrying their own clothes.

Backpacking content is good content, but what's even better is backpacking content with random Kepler content spliced into it. Just FYI.
@hrconthepct27242 жыл бұрын
I should make just a Kepler vid. As kind of a palate cleanser….
