I don't get the immediate assumption that Sakura is just a housewife. So in order to be a successful women one must neglect responsibilities such as maintaining one's home and raising one's kids. She could just be cleaning her home like any responsible homeowner should, I hope today's idea of empowered women doesn't boil down to "Oh look I have a fancy degree so I won't take care of my property because that's beneath me". I was so horrified when i saw the fix naruto hashtag... I like narusaku too, i thought they were cute and would be a fun couple, and i did like them more the naruhina! But i knew that naruhina was going to happen, and wasn't surprised in the last chapter. But to see some of the narusaku pages i had been following spouting that horrible, rude, immature nonsense was just so disgusting- it really made me ashamed to be part of the fandom when i saw things like that. It wasn't all the narusakus, just a few volatile spiteful ones. It's just ridiculous how people were telling kishimoto to change HIS manga, just because THEY didn't like it! I mean, GROW UP! I actually quite like naruhina and sasusaku now, and at the end of the day they're just fictional couples! I mean, since when does the couple become more important than the character? Hopefully people will learn to stop being so self centered now and move on with their lives...

The problem with NS shippers is that they're too butthurt that they want ladygt to rewrite the ending and cling onto those sick fanfics of NS having an affair. They just can't accept the fact that they lost. They're saying "so there goes all the ns development and sakura's character development", what development? Sakura has always loved Sasuke and has never been confused about her feelings. Even after she confessed her love to Sasuke 6 chapters before the ending they said it wasn't going to happen. They said that the confession was a test, ova was going to happen, naruto would confess again, or that sakura would realize that she loves naruto at the last minute. Just what in the world were they reading that led them to think that NS was going to happen? It was pretty clear that SS was going to happen and the sudden spurt of NH development meant that NH was also going to happen. NS did develop but as a sister/brother relationship and it was all because of Sasuke. He told Sakura that she was annoying when she said Naruto was annoying which led her to think that she should be nicer to Naruto. It has always been Sasuke. What can we say though, the proudest/loudest ones always have the hardest fall.

Worse even are the individuals implying that Naruto's character development was ruined because a "guy who never gives up gave up on his girl." When exactly did Naruto proclaim he would "get Sakura?" And why is Sakura being portrayed by her fans as an object needing to be won? It's disgraceful and hypocritical. If anything Naruto spent the majority of Part II trying to get Sasuke-the real source of her affection-back for her. Naruto is an incredibly selfless character. He would have rather seen Sakura happy with Sasuke than miserable by his side, and if the NaruSakus refused to interpret that throughout all of Shippuden then I truly do pity them because they understood nothing about this story from the start. From what I've seen the NaruSakus are now coming to the conclusion that "it was all about money" in order to cushion the fall. The psychological defense mechanisms are real. They would rather feel the victims of marketing than admit that they might have been wrong. The majority of Naruto followers knew the NaruHina ending was coming, not just because of the hints or foreshadowing, but because it was the only logical conclusion based on the long-time development of all the characters involved (Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke and Hinata). From her introduction, Naruto and Hinata have shared a special bond, even if Naruto himself didn't realize it. I've never bothered with shipping or the Naruto fandom, but I had no doubt in my mind since the Pain Invasion arc that Naruto and Hinata would end up together. It's all there in the manga, despite their limited interactions. Hinata was the very first person Naruto was able to relay his insecurities to, and that says a lot. This was in Part I too, so I wouldn't even say Kishimoto intended for it to mean anything in the long-run.

I 100% AGREE! Now I'm not telling anything that no one's heard before, but I'm a narusaku fan, I was rather devoted to it and I will admit that I was a little more than broken hearted when it turned out it didn't happen, but guess what, I GOT OVER IT! I will also admit that I though sasusaku was ridiculous but I didn't mind naruhina AT ALL. In fact, I actually thought the idea was rather adorable. Both pairings have grown on me, mainly naruhina, especially after seeing them with their children (who I think are adorable) and I have accepted it. He became a hero of the village, who once hated him, and then, achieved his dream, so all of us could enjoy, laugh and cry about it? Sai made the reason for NaruSaku not happening very clear. Sakura caused Naruto A LOT of unnecessary suffering. Plus she was just like everyone else in Konohagakure; she only hopped on Naruto because he saved her ass and the entire village. Hinata always believed in Naruto, and she always cared for him for no other reason than she saw who he was and what a good person he was. Naruto deserves a woman like Hinata.

Personally I always thought the parallels were there to show that history will repeat itself unless someone breaks the mode. For example the brother rivalry. I would like to point out that I was a HUGE NaruSaku fan. As a matter of fact, the whole reason I started reading the manga was to expedite any chance to see it happen. When I found out that it would not be so, and NaruHina become cannon, I sat there disappointed. However I said bravo Kishimoto for generating such thought from a simple action like his swing in the story. I came to appreciate this because this technique did its job and provoked an emotional response from it. I have accepted Kishimoto's decision and have even come to embrace his pairing of Naruto and Hinata. This is what a civilized person does; not necessarily agree with it like how I acquired the NaruHina taste, but realize the great ride we have had. We should be respectful of HIS decision to end HIS story and be grateful that he is even continuing the series for us to enjoy further. I am very disappointed that I am 22 and most of these shitheads my age and younger can't accept a simple decision and show some damn courtesy and respect. 100% agree with your rant!

Chapter 700 was the ending I had been anticipating since I first got into Naruto, and it amazes me that so many people were shocked by it. Seeing fans say "it came out of nowhere" is astonishing. To those who understood the characters and Kishimoto's writing, nothing about the epilogue was rushed or particularly revolutionary. It was a solid conclusion meant to introduce Part III and reflect that Team 7's "dreams for the future" were all eventually realized: Naruto finally received the title and acknowledgement he had been craving since childhood, Sakura got her man and Sasuke killed Itachi and "restored" his clan by having a daughter. In any case, I can only blame this fandom mayhem on the fact that as unfortunate as it is, the internet has had an enormous impact on entertainment in the past decade. When I read the finale of Harry Potter I was left completely in the dark (no spoilers, no nothing). It was all new to me, and it was an unforgettable experience because of that. With Naruto, I was spoiled (along with most of us, I would say). I also visited the NaruSaku forums to see how they were reacting, and what I saw was unfortunately even easier to anticipate than the ending of the manga. Absolute chaos. It pains me to say this, but I can't help but feel that a large portion of the Naruto internet fanbase is made up of adolescent girls, who as we all know can be irrational and emotional when things don't go their way. We all like to think that negativity shouldn't impact our opinions, but in this day-and-age people the spread hateful thinking seems more entertaining to people than entertainment itself. Ending wise I feel like in the end Naruto hasn't learned any thing. Naruto has the opportunity to be the father he never had, his job is taking time away from bolt in turn bolt now pulls the same stunts for attention that naruto did at the beginning of the series. I've never been a big fan of SasuSaku or NaruSaku (Though I've been fond of NaruHina) but, just saying, at the end of 699, when Sasuke tapped Sakura's forehead in that Itachi like manner, that was just about the cutest/most romantic thing Sasuke could have done. And considering Sasuke's character, I was forced to slightly nod my head and throw my hands up in surrender. And for someone who has literally hated SasuSaku for eight years, that's saying something. I don't love it, but I'm not going to fight it, especially if Sasuke's going to make it that obvious.

If I could have it my way, I would've had Kishi write a scene with Sakura explaining to Sasuke that she'll always love him, but after everything he's put her through she can't in good conscious ever be with him. I'm just pissed off how Sawyer is making it seem like this is all NaruSaku fans. Having a critical opinion on how Naruto should've ended is not disrespectful, it's encouraged in the writing community. I'm also pissed how Sawyer is nothing more than a NaruHina fan at the end of this rather than being impartial. Instead of giving an objective, impartial, and critical assessment of Naruto he just sided with his pairing. It doesn't take an English major to see how bad Naruto ended. The amount of literary devices Kishi used in Naruto for the sake of the plot was uncountable. To some them up they were: Foreshadowing, the use of motifs and metaphors, symbolism, and parallels all to show the future of Naruto in a sense. One example would be the parallel between Kushina and Sakura. This is so blatant that a child would understand. I'm not going to bombard you all with examples because who reads them anyway. My point is the way Naruto ended was completely backwards seeing how the story progressed. So, to see Sawyer mock legitimate arguments like they were something insignificant and stupid really ticked me off.

Selina Kyle By first female Uchiha, I mean female Uchiha character that actually gets screentime. I think the only one we got to see a little about was Sasuke's mom but that was just about it. I could honestly take SS or leave it, doesn't matter to me much, but if Sasuke was going to get paired with anyone in the series then Sakura was the only choice that made any sense at all. As for Sasuke, a lot of people are still hung up on the fact he became a criminal for a while, even though he clearly couldn't of just stayed in the village and lived in ignorant bliss and ignored his clan's death. He killed Danzo, who deserved to die, damaged Raikage's arm because the Raikage got impatient and tried to kill him, got his butt kicked by Bee, absorbed Orichimaru who deserved it, and then he stabbed Karin. The only person I feel sorry for is Karin honestly. Sakura was planning to kill Sasuke with a poison Kunai so I don't blame Sasuke for attempting to kill her. Can't plan first degree murder and then play the victim card. In the end of the manga he's back to his normal self, basically the good person that he was back when he had his family and his brother.

All of you guys need to calm yourselves. I've been watching Naruto since 4th grade and now I'm in 11th. I grew up with Naruto. It's like I grew alongside them. (Honestly, Its more of 699 that was bad. I mean c'mon. A clash from Naruto and Sasuke with a fight that didn't even mean much. Sasuke was like I need to do this and an hour later they draw and Sasuke's like Oh. I guess I dont need to. And Naruto was like, see, you dont. And done. So I felt that could've been better) But C'mon. Kishi wasnt even planning on Naruto being 15 years. Naruto was suppose to be short. But the fact he was even able to come up with all of that is what counts. From the saddest to happiest/funniest moments. I am glad Naruto made it out of Japan because it really had a huge effect on me. Naruto is hands down the greatest manga I've ever read and deserves to be set in comparison to Dragonball as this is one of the greatest. AND 700.. Was a great way to end Naruto's last chapter. A time skip, of what happens after. Seeing everyone all grown up was just a woww.. Konohamaru has gotten older. He's Naruto's sons sensei. Everyone has kids. And Naruto achieved his dream. I wish they made a Konohamaru Chronicles. That'd be awesome. And Naruto GT/Part 3 isn't suppose to be as much for us as Kishimoto stated. Its for a new generation. As it is a new generation. It was rushed a bit. But hey. He had a fucking week. I nor could any of us had come up with that in our lifetime. I once again thank Kishimoto for a Great and Life Changing Story. BELIEVE IT! NSfans always failed to realize that they support a pairing who's "official coming together" would have been terrible story wise and ignored everything simply because they want it to happen. Sakura's entire "drive" was Sasuke, whole story through. She warmed up to Naruto and went from hating his guts to supporting him. But that's about it. It was always Sasuke. Leaving aside how bad that alone is, NSfans never noticed that if their pairing had become canon, then not because of Naruto. What I mean is from a character view point and the difference between NS and NH. Hinata doesn't care about Naruto's new fame, status or power, it was always about him as a person. He got bullied by everyone except her cause she saw he's not a monster or some freak. What happened with Sakura? He only gained attention through his heroic actions. Defeating Pain was the milestone. Had NS become canon, it certainly wouldn't have been making sense cause it'd have meant Sakura didn't love him as person but the hero. That would have been extremely artificial and in no way actual love. NSfans never understood feelings in the slightest and while Naruto isn't some 10/10 romance it's obvious that they don't understand how messed up NS would have been considering in the end, Hinata won actually very clearly. While NSfans looked at every nook and cranny to see a light of hope for them going 2deep into scenes, they never considered that the fact that they have to search for indications should have told them they lose when the one thing Kishi made clear is something we didn't even have to look and search for being that Naruto always had Hinata. See, NSfans were grasping at everything, failing to realize their ship is horrible when canon and then this meltdown when NH became canon. It shows you they don't care about the characters nor the story but that they were simply driven by complete selfishness and ignorance. Honestly? It's good they lost. Cause certainly that behavior theyshowed when Naruto ended revealed their true colors and everyone that took part in it can fully live in the shame of their actions and the internet never forgets. The only sad thing is that the general anime/manga community suffers from such disgusting behavior and that NSfans don't give a single care about what they have done. Anyway, it was shameful and I do hope with all my heart that someday they can reflect on their action. But then again, the main driving force of this meltdown til this day never dared apologize or consider that they might have done something wrong. NSfans are hated for good reason, but I find it sad "certain" people never dared come out and apologize for this cause that would have been a step into the right direction to at least get over the hatred cause this cannot be undone, but at least should be a lesson on how not to behave.

Ending was awesome !! Naruto was always about leaf village and the continuation of generations ... Thats a fine ending with Naruto c.700 which makes total sense with the whole concept. I love every single kid i saw , Narutos , Sasukes etc ... I would gladly see the new generation adventures , very interesting kids there .

I loved the pure look of Hinata as grown adult and even more that of her child hinawamari. Naruto as an adult look as badass as ever. I didnt expect him to look that manly. I really liked his look way more than his father ( the weird hair and the feminine face looks usually protagonist characters have ) Bolt was adorable also and ofc reminds me of naruto in both looks and behavor. Sarada is also an interesting character , looks way more sharp and mature for her age , similar to what Sasuke was back then. All in all i think c700 was a very nice ending and i cant wait to see the new anime based on these cute characters. The only thing im a bit concerned is scenario and story ... I dont want just random stories ( similar to Naruto fillers ) just for the sake of episodes. A solid little story , well scripted will be awesome.. So lets see.

Okay, I'm a huge narusaku fan and I have been for years. When I saw the ending I was bitter about my ship not happening for sure, but I was more disappointed with the actual ending to the story and the way the characters ended up more than anything else. I'm not going to get into that now though because I could write a novel on my dissatisfaction with how team 7 ends up. There are two sides to every fandom. The LOUD ASSHOLES and the quiet respectful ones who say in their lane. The Facebook and ban were created by the fucking loud idiots of my fandom. I don't agree with or support anything they say or do. SS and NH have loads of those fans and had NS happened this would have happened anyway. I am 100% certain. There are a lot of naruto fans in general, not just NS fans, who are upset with this ending and let loose criticism on it. Writing long posts about how we didn't like the ending is perfectly acceptable and should be expected. Highlighting flaws and plot holes isn't a bad thing, its something that comes hand in hand with being an author. The ISSUE is the assholes insulting kishimoto directly because THAT is fucked up. There needs to be some separation between people assuming that anyone who doesn't like the ending is just bitter about a ship and people who actually just didn't like the ending. I think its ridiculous to generalize an entire fandom based on the obnoxious bunch. Side note, shinachiku isn't a made up character really. A while ago kishi said he intended naruto to have one kid named shinachiku uzumaki and we just sorta claimed him because Burrito and bite sized hinata happened instead.

The problem with shipping is that if you get it in your head that two characters will end up together, then every little moment between them will seem like teasing the pairing even when it's not the writers intention. I wasn't rooting for any couple but i felt that pairing Naruto and Hinata was the intention all along even though he did a poor job with the light romance used in the series. I don't agree with Narusaku fans who say Naruto was in love with Sakura the whole series. He had a crush on her, but from early on he gave signs that he accepts she's in love with Sasuke, the first one I remember was leaving them alone after Tsunade heals Sasuke. However it doesen't make sense for Sakura to be in love with Sasuke looking at everything that happened, and you can say we weren't given enough signs that Naruto is in love with Hinata, which will be the point of the movie, but the behavior of some of this fans, it's just sad... sorry for spelling errors, i'm not english

What I don't understand is why there is outrage over SasuSaku, especially considering that they don't get together right away, yet people accept Naruto and Sasuke making up after Sasuke stabbed through him in Part 1 and then blew his arm off in 698. In my book, chapter 700 was not the end of the story, it was an epilogue. The real conclusion is found in chapter 699. Epilogues are always boring, but necessary for fans to accept their favorite story coming to a stop.

Thank you sawyer for this video. I too was shocked by the amount of negativity towards the ending. While I understand people being disappointed with the ending (I personally was satisfied), the way people have been expressing that disappointment is completely inappropriate and it clearly demonstrates why our current generation is known as the entitlement generation. i was a naruhina fan from the very beginning so i'm not entirely sure how some of those guys feel but, i think its very stupid that because you don't get your way to complain about it. this is truly the lost generation. and i mean i don't know why some of those guys still believed in narusaku anyway it was clear from the last couple of chapters that sakura still loved sasuke (i mean she did say that) and if you looked at naruto's face you could see that he knew he had no chance anymore. Sakura has turned naruto down countless times but hinata has always been there. there is also the problem with pairing, who would hinata end up with if not naruto, and who would sasuke end up with if not sakura.

You said Sasuke was *insane* when he tried to kill her. While around that time, Sasuke had seemed to lack mental stability, his goals during that time period were exactly the same they'd been the entire series: killing. All of Sasuke's goals have pretty much revolved around one of two things. Either 1. Killing someone, or 2. Killing multiple people. Not to mention that Sasuke mercilessly killed, tried to kill, or left behind anyone that got into his way, including Taka and Team 7 - both of which were teams that at times he risked his life to protect. Yes, the series may have been about friendship and never giving up, but forgiving and forgetting everything Sasuke did is something that at least should have been explained or fleshed out. My view has not changed. I still find it interesting that Sakura would still love him after all that crap he put both she and Naruto though.

Hell, I really like that Hinata got with Naruto! She was my favorite during the beginning, and she has gone through some serious shit, a lot of it from her own family. So I was happy to see her finally get something/someone she wanted.

Try to imagine if you passionately shipped a pairing for about 15 YEARS, then it just becomes TOTALLY ignored in the end ! Only then you will understand a BIT how Narusaku fans feel ... Well, Kishi gave Narusaku a big hope with ALL those hints ..., then he just went like : "Puff !!! Naruto married Hinata with KIDS ! " With NO explanations how Naruto SUDDENLY forgot about Sakura (It's bloody obvious that he loved her THE ENTIRE FREAKING SERIES) Just how come ! It's not Naruto's character to easily change his mind/ give up that fast ! Same to Sasusaku ! kk we know that Sasuke changed ... But in terms of romance, he's just turned 360° in ONE CHAPTER ! C'mon the dude said he is NOT INTERESTED IN SAKURA LIKE 5 CHAPTERS AGO !!! That is my opinion, so I was really disappointed since i'm a Narusaku fan... BUT i would NEVER think of banning Naruto or any kind of that madness. But let's not forget the most important thing here, Naruto has realized his dream, everyone respects him and he has a family among the living who greets him whenever he comes home. The end is not important, it's how he reached the end that is important =)

The one thing I didn't like a lot about naruto is that kishimoto didn't really develop the female characters well. I would've loved to see Sakura being more badass I would've loved to see the strong women in more important fights. It bothered me a little especially as a female fan of naruto to see the female characters being there just for romance even though they were smart and shinobis too, I think they deserved better but that's not gonna make me hate the whole manga. We all have negative and positive things to say about naruto but you shouldn't let one thing you don't like make you forget all the other things you like

Thank you for making this video. Most if not all of the overacting is a bit worrisome but I don't believe that all NaruSaku fans are that way. Don't get me wrong, I'm a NaruHina fan all the way but not all are immature children. But you're right about the ones who can't see the forest for the trees should wake up. Honestly, I wanted a body count after the war. A war against 3 of the strongest villains in series and only 2 deaths resulted from it, one of which got brushed over i.e Neji. I wanted Guy to have an epic death,but was that got ruined and result (although not confirmed) is paralyzed to a wheelchair, not mention the the 4 or 5 plot holes that were left wide open. The biggest one being Naruto and Sasuke losing their forearms. It was established that Naruto can heal missing body parts and bring the dead back to life, but he couldn't heal his and Sasukes arm. The ending overall was expected, a happy resolution like usual in series like these. But Salad..really, maybe its better untranslated.

At the end of ch 700 when sasuke is about to leave sakura tells him that Tsunade is making him and Naruto zetsu arms, to which sasuke declines. As far as the LAST movie is concerned, we can assume that the zetsu arm is what he has. My problem is that he doesn't need if he can regrow his own arm

the 9-tails helped him regenerate injuries like cuts and stuff, but it was never established that the 9-tails can help regenerate full limbs, as this is the first time that it has happened to Naruto. also, Naruto was shown saving Guy and regenerating Kakashi's eye with his right hand, which is the hand that got blown off. the hand with the Sun seal. which is probably another reason why he couldn't use his new found sage powers to regenerate his arm. like he regenerated Kakashi's eye. though one thing that Sasuke could do, while it was never said that the Naraka Path could do this to the main body, Sasuke could try to restore his arm, and even Naruto's.

Yea the pairings were rushed but all in all it was a great manga! People like the ones you mention just piss me off. They are ruining a great childhood manga with all this hate and negativity!
