SAXON's Biff Byford Was On A Crusade To Bring The Guitar Riffs Back on 'Carpe Diem'

Biff really got what he wanted and we as Saxon fans are the beneficiaries of that: fabulous guitar riffs!!! There are so many great riffs on the album that it's hard to count them all. I guess if I was forced to choose one as my favorite, that continuing riff during the verses on "Super Nova" is off the charts. And that's saying something because all the riffs are so carefully and melodically crafted. Both the song and vocal melodies are top notch and Biff's vocals are as good or better than they've ever been. This is a fantastic effort by a superbly talented veteran band. Not a bum note from start to finish. I can't wait for tonight so I can go outside and listen to it again. Saxon Rules!!!!!!
