The typical sinner's prayer is unbiblical! One cannot merely accept Jesus into our heart along with an uncrucified, still- living, fleshly sin nature. One cannot merely intellectually acknowledge Christ's existence, verbally repeat/recite a short prayer without godly sorrow, repentance and faith in Christ for salvation. There MUST be a conversion, a translation from darkness to light, from death to life. You can't hang on to your sins and worldly desires and expect Jesus to come cohabitate with a sin nature that's never been crucified with Christ. THE SINNER'S PRAYER HAS SENT MANY TO HELL!!!

Easy Believism! The Lord did not die on the Cross for a prayer. He was crucified because for the redemption of the sinner. We are commanded to REPENT. We must turn from our sinful ways and then he imputes his righteousness in us. We must live a life that reflects his ways and this happens when the Holy Spirit lives in us and has his way. By doing good works, we can never be saved. Joel's prayer is a lie.

Jesus never led anyone in a salvation prayer, neither did any of his apostles. It is not biblical. The salvation prayer is not a guarantee for salvation. Repentance of sins is required by God. We must be born again and recieve the Holy Spirit. There is no preacher in any church that can command the Holy Spirit to show up and save anyone. There is no human being anywhere who can conjure up the Holy Spirit at will when he decides it is time to be saved. Scripture tells us this: John 3:8 "The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” It is a very arrogant teaching in churches when people believe they can receive salvation at the time of their choosing. Jesus said in The Book Of John 3:8 "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day." Human beings do not and never will have any authority over God. Salvation is God's decision. Not ours. He doesn't answer to us. We answer to him. The bible describes how Esau was rejected by God even through tears. Hebrews 12:17 "For you know that afterward, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no chance to repent, though he sought it with tears." There was no magic salvation prayer that could save Esau. Judas gave back the thirty pieces of silver but he wasn't saved. The 5 foolish virgins knocked on Jesus' door and told him to let them in, but they were rejected. It wasn't their decision to make. God does not save everyone. They have to have true repentance, they have to be sincere, they have to be called, and they must be transformed to righteousness by the Holy Spirit.

Entirely unbiblical practice, leading many who are deceived into hell. The bible is clear. Romans 310,:23-"No one is good, no not one." ... "For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 10:9 "Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, and you shall be saved." And Jesus Christ himself told us to REPENT, FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS NEAR. Yes, you can pray for salvation, but men and women MUST be clear on what the Gospel is. The aspect of Holy Judgement by God for all unbelievers, what they are being saved from, and the goodness of God to give his Son to die for our sins to satisfy God's wrath. Repeating some words does not saved anyone, and it hasn't from the days of Noah to current days.
