I just started really learning Blender a week ago and I have to say, I learned so many new hotkeys in this video. I'm currently half way through the video and I've already taken notes on 6 new hotkeys I didn't know about. Some of them are "F" for creating faces and "Ctrl+X" for quickly dissolving edges/vertices. @@greggory7655 No because it uses a subdivision workflow for a game vehicle you need to use more of a poly modelling workflow. i have done that before and it was great i sold my game models and stuff.

A quick tip: in mirror modifier check the "clipping" box, it will help you merge a lot easier :)

This is a very well made tutorial, not gonna lie, and I'm watching it as I'm recreating a suzuki Swift, constantly going back in the video to check how you arranged the vortex and stuff, and tbh I regret not making the whole model again, after seeing your video, now I'm 10 hrs in and got some really bad parts that I have to work on. The quality of this tutorial is like one of those Masterclass ones, except it's free! It really helped me to learn a lot of the other aspects of Blender, even though I'm on 2.93 now, as well as how to model a car with detail. Can confirm this is a good tutorial in 2021!

One trick that I use while mirroring geo is to turn on clipping in the mirror modifier as well as the Auto Merge Vertices function on, it just eliminates almost all problems related to geo in the mirror section. Btw best car modeling tutorial I've ever seen, straight to the point, no bs and great advice + useful hotkeys all the way.

Quick tip: In 8:00 if your plane splitting in two different planes while using mirror modifiers, you can select(in Mirror modifier): Axis-X(as default), Bisect-X(and it will connect to each other)

@@aligamiles blender is pretty easy on pc performance. I created my graduation project on a 12" windows tablet with no cooling (stingl.design/projects/0nonAK?album_id=94217) . No, this tablet is not my primary device, it was more of an experiment, which I could afford since it was not a project for a client. Yes, having a more powerful pc will obviously help you a lot, but no, you are not limited by a pc, if your PC does meet the minimal specs requirements.

41:32 I had a problem here were my separated mesh would disappear in the object mode but visible in both outliner and edit mode if any of you having the same problem select the duplicated mesh in the outliner and delete its Boolean modifier.

I did it for the blend file, but unfortunately I cannot provide the reference images with it because of copyright issues. I am thinking of better ways to go about similar tutorials from next time. Thanks for watching and your feedback too. Cheers :)

Open viewport shading menu and select object. Then go to object properties, scroll down to viewport properties, click on color and play with A (Alpha).
