Thank you for the video. I had $120 in free play at the Isle Casino in Waterloo, Iowa, and I followed your advice to play video poker. I turned $120 into $350 cash rather quickly, but like most slot players, I lost it when I turned to my regular slot games. Your advice is spot on and I should have walked away.

So happy to have stumbled on this video right before my Vegas trip. I don't usually gamble, but I redeemed MyKonami Slots points for freeplay and came away with $120 at Mandalay Bay. It was definitely more interesting than playing slots and really easy to play. My newly 21 year old daughter used what we learned here, playing quarter bets for the first time and she came out ahead a few bucks. We felt like winners so it was a fun time. Thanks for the tips 😊

I save all my freeplay for the AM/ have double freeplay a few times, u want great comps, play 500 at slots on a players card, and 500 at the tables you get 3 or 4 nights comped. every quarter as a promo. Cosmo is the spot

To truly maximize your chances you can either A.)practice on your computer or smartphone at home with free video poker aps or B.) buy a little laminate chart that tells you which cards to hold in every possible combination. I noticed several mistakes that were made during this session. What I want to know is who was handing out $150 in free play and what you needed to do to qualify for it?

A key comment there at the start: It's your money, even as freeplay. Online Casinos also usually give free play or matched deposits with crazy wagering requirements, I once video pokered like this for about 12 grand over a few hours to be able to walk away with it.

WOW!!!! Thats an awesome video. So, I have a question about Players cards. As I build up my Caesars Players card and get free play, I know I can use the Free Play towards food and the slot machines. So here's my question: If my players card which is Platinum status, what kind of offers or rewards do you usually get with Platinum? I'm assuming you may get free Room stays to use at various Caesar hotel casinos? I know Gold is from 0 to 4,999 credits; Platinum is from 5,000 to 14,999 credits and Diamond is from 15,000 to 24,999 credits. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Matthew! Playing VP to maximize is correct. Even better is playing off Strip to get better pay schedules for the same damn game. Bonus Poker has an 8/5 schedule for “full pay.” But you are where you are. A pro tip is check the high limit room. Many have full pay VP at huger denom or maybe even $1 if you’re lucky. There are websites and books that will guide you better. Also stay away from VP machines that have spinning wheels and animations with special features. They have very short pay schedules. VP is boring until you win. I’ve won and lost even being relatively of good skill. Also if there are a bank of VP machines together check the pay table on each in the bank. I’ve seen where one good machine is right next to a short pay machine. There’s a lot to learn, VP is a game of skill not luck, like blackjack. Once you understand that and study the game and practice offline with a teaching app, there used to be good ones, it’s not so boring.

I've been playing Video Poker for over 30 years and Justin is correct. Video Poker shows the Pay Table. This information will help you select the game with the best odds, thus giving you the best chance to win. Also, there are online games that teach you Correct Play. Practice at home so you can get an edge the next time you're in a casino. Cheers!

I have played video poker for almost 30 years and there is nothing boring about it. I have hit hundreds and hundreds and maybe even 1000 royal flushes. It's one of the better games in any casino as opposed to slots. I don't recommend it until a person reads a book or two and practices online before dabbling. Play perfect strategy, learn the games and odds and you can be a winner at VP.

☆☆☆☆☆SO the main point is to actually CASH OUT all your "Free play" that was originally given to you to play but converting it to actual CASH. I get 200 dollars weekly "Free plays" and to actually pocket that cash playing video poker is the game? Hmmmm will See. By the way I ALWAYS hold the same suit cards especially for Royal Flushes. I've hit alot of Straight Flushes that way and a few Royals. Just Saying. 👍👍❤❤❤❤

You’re correct. It’s very close but usually deuces wild is a touch better payback. With that said I don’t play it enough to make good enough decisions.

Not really, as you noticed by playing Bonus poker you are paid on 2 pair which he was several times, deuces wild does not pay that, beginners as he mentioned and high playing video poker pro's always play bonus poker as they want to double their bet on 2 pair thus their bankroll lasts longer.

One problem, many if not most VP machines don't take free play...................to take free play a machine need a key pad to enter your pin.............I would have loved to see him redeem to freeplay.............I assure you MGM free play does NOT work on VP

Pay schedule is around 97%...6/5 bonus poker was about the best I could find in the Venetian where the free play had to be used.

30 for a full house is pretty garbage on bonus poker. Off strip it's pretty easy to find 35 at least. 3 to a royal was the correct play. if the pair was J or higher instead of T, you'd hold the pair.
