Beautiful. I think it was Mark Twain who said never to let politics or religion seperate you from a true friend. Something to that effect anyway. I am an Atheist and have my own reasons which I do not wish to push upon anybody else, most rational theists that I meet and know feel the same way. If your belief system or routine makes you a better version of yourself then sometimes that is all that matters. It doesn't matter what I do or do not believe because that is personal to me as I know it is to others. Any attempt to tear down somebody's whole belief system just to make one's self feel better only comes from a damaged spirit.

​​@@rickyspanish9071Reading the Bible is kind of what made me doubt it, honestly (I'm also agnostic). I grew up very religious, but I started to have doubts. A lot of people in my religious community just saw women as breeding cows and acted accordingly. It really messed me up as a young girl. I didn't see anything wrong with the abuse since their reasoning was always simply "you're a girl, I'm a guy." I just don't want to believe in a god who gives you "unconditional love" if it has conditions like that. 😓 I had a lot of gender dysphoria as a kid because of it too - I just wished I was a guy.

Different speaker each week from different religions, everyone's welcome (whether you believe in something or are an atheist) and the whole point is coming together under the common belief that the most important thing is to be kind. The golden rule is the golden rule whether you're Christian or Hindu or Pagan or Muslim or Shinto or atheist etc. You don't even have to join their thing, I just do volunteer work for the local homeless population and this one animal rescue that specializes in critters transported from high-kill shelters in other states. @@gordon3186 ohh we found the reddit atheist. just to argue one of your points, evolution is real and to evolve and let your genes and dna on you need to reproduce so if somone is gay then that is the end of a bloodline so even to you as a atheists it should be looked as like a negative thing as it is a stopper to the growth of society, making us a smaller and weaker species which could lead to extinction. But no, no drowning of children for their parents wrongdoings. But there are rules to follow. Now think about this, if you are right and there is no heaven and hell then sure i just had a good life spreading positivity, but if im right and heaven and hell is real then you might burn for eternity, i'd say its a safer bet to stand where i am standing.
