@WhereModernizedMeetsMyth5 күн бұрын
@@norfolkngood8960Yes, its true that animals sometimes do that. But generally, that's due to a strong maternal/paternal instinct and/or the loss of one or more of the animal's original litter. What Uncle Ben (and many other humans, obv) is doing isn't instinct. He could just as easily throw the animals out, because it's not an overwhelming need, but a long-term decision.

His stuffed animals were used as decorations. He had a big cardboard, Dababy, and capy balloons. He visited a farm that has Capybaras. He is homeschooled so he can take field trips and learn different things. We live in Wheeling, WV, and he goes to Pittsburgh often and travels around in Ohio to these farms to see the animals. Markiplier sometimes comes back to the "starfish story", a story that has stuck with me ever since I first heard it, and this reminds me of that. An old man walks along a beach covered in stranded starfish, and sees a young boy throwing them back in the ocean. He stops the boy, telling him it doesn't matter, because he can never save them all, no matter how hard he tries. The boy picks up a starfish, throws it in the ocean, then looks back at the old man. "But it mattered to that one." Even if you can't save the entire world, you are still doing your best and saving lives. And that, I dare say, deserves recognition and respect. Thank you for making a difference, Uncle Ben.
@williamjohnson44172 ай бұрын

Our complex had electricity but no water and no heat for two weeks. The City got Water before we did. My boss and company did not understand at all that we were freezing to death. And the water that was sent out to Austin… I had no clue where it was sent to or how to access it. Me and my two dogs survived off the bottled water I had. Also the roads were so frozen we didn’t get a chance to get food as also the vehicle was engine was frozen. And my food supply was getting low. Once I was able to go to a store many shelves were empty and no water. My vehicle broke down on that first trip out too. The weatherman said it was colder than Alaska. I’ll never forget my Lola and Pepper and how we kept each other warm and we were together. I love animals. I’ve been around them my whole life until last year.

I'm not religious so it's odd to me that someone would care if their kids followed their religion. Surely all that matters is that they're good people? That should be the main focus of raising kids. And if they are good people but your religion doesn't accept that as enough, then maybe the fault is with your beliefs and not theirs?

Ben you are my inspiration. And not just mine you are THOUSANDS of peoples inspiration. I want to either work for you when I get older or start my own ‘rescue ranch’ over here in PA. Here comes the essay. When I was ten I found a kitten on the side of the road this poor thing must have been there for hours and it couldn’t have been more then 3-4 weeks old, to cut it short I bottle fed this kitten until she was 8 1/2 months old she was a black little kitty her name was autumn I loved autumn she’d sleep in my bed with me she’d follow me around the house all day and around my barn while I did chores, id put her in my pocket and carry her around when she was real little. Heck id put her in the basket of my bike and we’d ride around the dirt roads id even crochet her little sweaters. I say this to make you understand how much I truly loved this kitten we had had cats before but she was special you know? But one day when I was gonna bike to town I was getting ready you know I put on my jacket such and such when I walked out of the door to see someone swerve to hit what felt like my own blood child. I rushed out to the road literally creating a wet trail behind me from tears and picked her up she was alive and breathing i knew that if I could get her to a vet she would survive but my family doesn’t have even an extra 20 dollars to spend on new shoes and the piggy bank under my bed wasn’t gonna cut itand to add to this COVID was going on. So there I sat just waiting until she finally died. I buried her under my apple tree. I couldn’t help but notice that in the following years (I am fourteen now) the blossoms would look prettier than ever and the apples sweeter than they had ever been. Maybe I am delusional isn’t know. All I know is that I hate the person who killed her. I swear all roads are are strips of death there could be stuff we could build all over the place so animals wouldn’t get injured or die like that. Thank you Ben I truly admire what you do. And to be quite frank id love to give you a hug. Just know that if you are ever feeling down just think that somewhere in the world atleast one person is admiring what you do. Never stop.

Despite being raised Catholic, I typically find it unnerving when people in media talk about their faith because of how often it's exploited for personal gain. Ben, I want you to know how much I appreciate the example you set, and how much I respect you for sharing that aspect of your life.

Never comment on KZbin but if Uncle Ben's gonna be real with us then the least I can do is the same. You've done more than just renovate a crack house and save 800+ animals, you've shown a new generation what it means to care for wildlife. The Irwin's continue to do amazing work but with the death of cable nobody has stepped up to replace the hole that Steve left in media until you came along. Your videos are a breath of joy in a world that focuses too much on the negative. From the bottom of my heart thank you Ben.

I am not religious myself yet I find it wonderful that Ben gets his inspiration from his beliefs. He uses it to make the world a better place and as he says “to take care of God’s creation “. Nobody can stay untouched by that young man’s courage and love for all living things. He sure is a role model for nowadays youths who don’t know how to be productive and caring for nature and their fellow human being. I’m glad he has come this far. Great things await him. I respect him and I hope that he can go on rescuing animals that are in peril and expand his rescue efforts as well.

"yet" Let me give you that lil push you might need. . ~If there is something, then we know there was never nothing. This is because it is impossible to go from nothing to something. It's impossible because, in order to go from nothing to something, you would need to exist before you existed to cause yourself to come into being. That is of course impossible, so from this, we establish that because there is something, there has in the past NEVER truly been nothing in this world. Now if there has never been nothing, then it logically follows that there must have always been something. This "eternal something" necessarily also must be uncreated. This is because if the eternal something was created and had an origin, then before that origin it wasn't there, which would mean there was a point before which where there was nothing - and remember, there can never in the past have been nothing, and so for an eternal something to be eternally something, it necessarily must have never been created. This uncreated eternal something, also known as a necessary being is what we call God. Love you, will be praying ❤

@@G_0_0_Zroot I had to read it twice 😄. It is true, existence is an enigma. Nobody really knows what happened before the universe came into being. It’s all just speculation. However that doesn’t mean that there is a God. You can also say that it isn’t proven beyond any doubt that there isn’t one. This is a very confusing exercise in thinking … I was raised Roman Catholic. When I was in my late teens I lost all interest in religion. Now I am not religious anymore. To be honest I nave not that much interest in it. Intellectually it’s great to brainstorm and discuss about it but it has no impact on my daily life. I guess I live a good life, keep to the law, care for my fellow man and respect all creatures. You know live right. Not because God dictates it but just because it’s who I am. I have no problem with religion. It can make a better person out of someone who needs it. It can comfort you in dark times and it’s great literature. Your beliefs are clearly very important to you. It’s more than going to church, it’s a way of life. To me the concept of a God is not totally clear. There are so many things that contradict each other. God is good but he gives us these mortal bodies that are super vulnerable . We have to see our loved ones get old and die .. Newborn babies die. People from different religions hate each other so much that there is war between them. I know you will see this totally different. That’s what believing is all about, isn’t it. Knowing that God has a plan and that all will be revealed in time.

@@G_0_0_Zroot, I don't mean this to be interpreted as "erm, actually", but I feel as though I should say that I personally interpreted that first sentence in the original comment more as "Despite not being religious myself, I find it wonderful how Ben gets his inspiration from his beliefs."

I have been going through the worst time in my life with severe depression and ptsd. After watching your videos, which honestly have been keeping me going, I quit everything I had planned, left my job, and changed all my goals so I can finally step into animal rehab. I have been a long time kitten foster and have tube and bottle feeding experience, but my life dream has always been working with wildlife. I never went for it because everyone would say it’s a waste and I’ll be broke my whole life. But if I learned anything recently is that life is too short to not fight to do what you love. Thank you for inspiring me.
