Grandma said her name was Beth but to the grandkids her name is Grandma. I,m here to say there are tens of thousands of us that call her Grandma and will miss her. Death is part of life and I thank you Justin for being brave enough to make a movie about this part of life. You make us feel the pain of loss but some how even though were sad that makes life sweeter. I guess we can take life for granted sometimes. Maybe this should be the movie you put into the film contest next year. To the people that don't understand why he shows Grandma when she is dying I,m sorry your not able to understand . Of course he has always had her blessing to show this.

After she passed I didn’t think I’d ever stop crying and then time passed and I was able to talk about her and all the happy times without the tears 😭 but I saw this and the floodgates opened my heart breaks for what your lovely mom and your family had to endure during her last chapter of life. My husband passed away last month from terminal brain cancer. He was 31. We have 3 boys ages 7, 4, and 2, and currently 8 months pregnant with our first daughter. The worst part was slowly watching him lose the ability to do simple things. Like walking or talking. I take pride in knowing that I took care of him till the very end, he was loved. It was a blessing and curse watching him fade away, because I know that’s not how he wanted to be remembered. He is free now and soaring high. I tell my boys that daddy is in heaven building us a big house for when it’s our turn to see him again. 🌹🙏🕊️ death is never easy but then again life isn’t either. Each day is a blessing

My aunt, Sharon, died October 1. It was the end of a long illness. She died at home moments after my husband and I arrived to check on her and my mother. It’s no easier than it was that day. Watching this made me wish I had videos of her like you have of Beth. Cherish those recordings. Save them in multiple ways for your kids. They’ll appreciate having the reminders of their grandmother, and one day their grandfather, too.

First i ever seen goodbyes/memories remembering with dying loved one while they still alert... this was very special thank you for sharing. Made me cry... i guess in our culture we are very stubborn and til the end hold on n hope the loved ones will turn around by a miracle n continue living instead of going... til the last breath my dad refused to believe my mom was going... he wouldn't let go... she was just 49... i was 19 oldest of 5 kids... having worked in nursing homes i knew she was not going to last much longer n i was ready to let go but my dad kept pushing interventions n wouldn't listen... my grandpa moved away so he passed peacefully in his sleep sourounded by his children... i cant imagine loosimg my dad... hes still alive at 75 n sees to be beating his cancer which was caught early stage ... so i want him around for long more time... my husbands parents are much younger but they dont live near nor help as much...

I lost my dad at 12...never knew my grandfathers...they passed at a young age...lost both grandmothers at 14. My mother is 91 and on the cusp of eternity. With that said.. the dignity & love that was shown to Grandma is to be commended!! May God bless & keep you & yours!

What a vulnerable and real moment that you've shared with us. Some of us have been watching you for almost a decade at this point (we got to meet you when you were in Maryland during the tour and Mr Gideon was still in diapers), and you inspired us to get into youtube. Best wishes for your family and thank you for letting us have a window into the love and commitment you all have for each other.

Man you guys are so lucky you have all this footage of Grandma. I had to do thru the same with my Mom but she died from old age. Rebekah looks just like her Mom.

I've been waiting for this video, but finding myself a little hesitant or unsure of how it would affect me. You did a beautiful job honoring a beautiful woman. I thank you for sharing her with us over the years, and letting us say goodbye as well. Praying for you guys in the months ahead as you wade through life missing her presence.

I understand that you wanted to share this with everyone because she can become part of the community but I think that you should have given your kids, especially, the privacy that other people get, not putting a camera in their face.

I’d like to think them, as a family, has these difficult conversations privately, and decided to record and share this experience. It’s remarkably similar to the one i’m going through with my own grandmother, this is real life. These are the painful moments you don’t *want* to see, but are so important to de-stigmatize and unveil so that future families have an idea of what to expect. As long as they came to that conclusion together, as a family, I don’t think it’s anyone’s place to suggest what should and shouldn’t be documented. From experience, we were spared from far worse images and conversations.

This video was hard for me because it reminded me of my mother and her last days was just like this. It's been 6 years and I still cry... Sending your and your family so many prayers. Sorry for your loss Bec
