Just because you are critical of something doesn't mean that you hate it, I don't understand how some people can't grasp that concept. If no one was ever critical of anything nothing would ever change and we would be given bottom of the barrel slop. Being critical/giving constructive feed back is a wonderful thing, it makes people/companies grow, change, and learn. I commend you Dev for speaking out against some of these ridiculous Disney changes instead of praising everything that they do just to stay in Disney's good graces.

Dev I am one that has been critical of you but for the same reasons you have been critical of Disney. I actually love your content. You do keep it real. Maybe I have been taking things wrong but it just seems no matter what Disney is always wrong in your eyes. Thank you for clearing the air. Personally I am not excited at all about epic or anything universal. The reason is something I am at fault with but universal is not larger person friendly on their more thrilling rides and I am just not going to spend money to not be able to do half of the rides or more. Yes I understand that is a personal issue. Anyway again thanks for clearing the air. Looking forward to seeing your content from my home park, Disneyland.

I'm so glad we get to go back to Disney and see Muppets area one more time. There's a few under utilized spots in Hollywood Studios that I was surprised about. We are skipping Universal this year, and coming back in 2026 when all the Universal new stuff is up and running for awhile. I would love to see another Orlando, Kissimmee area update again. We love coming back to Orlando! We loved Disney and universal and medieval times and all the things. Really want to do less park days and explore more golf, mini golf and other local businesses.

Hey Dev, great video as always. I would like to comment on your Muppets 3D comment. I don't think it is just about missing Muppets because we are Muppets fans, Muppets 3D is just a great attraction. I never watched Star Wars as a kid, or really much now, but that doesn't mean that I don't love riding Star Tours and wouldn't be very sad if it went away (hope I didn't jinx it lol). Same with Splash Mountain, most people never watched Song of the South, but they were still sad to see the ride go. People like great rides and attractions. Plus you can still get new experiences without having to get rid of great rides/attractions, especially in a park that is really lacking rides. I think people are more upset about that last point lol. Just a thought.

Disney is Amazing! Universal is Amazing! And both can be true. I feel alittle bit of the Disney magic was lost when they started taking away and charging for things. Before you felt that magic as soon as you landed riding on magical express, ready with your magic bands provided, varying magical hours both beginning and end for all resort guests, etc. But that’s the way things are now. And I agree the future plans sound amazing but it’s still awhile to go. Waiting to see how the Universal kid park is going to be here in Texas, hopefully my Littles will still be little whenever they complete it

My son was born in 1978 so he grew up watching all the Muppet Show episodes and the movies, and I watched along with him. I really liked the Muppet Vision 3D at MGM, but I can see that your generation and those that followed may not appreciate the attraction since you did not connect with the Muppets while growing up. I only hope that Monsters Inc. does not get stale as fast. You asked if anyone remembers the Osborne Family Light Show at MGM. I not only remember that, but I still have some souvenirs from it. I have several pairs of the cardboard glasses we wore that turned the Christmas lights into angels. It says right on the glasses that they are from the Osborne Family Lights at Disney MGM Studios. I wore one pair last year to our town's Christmas light display while on a hayride and you could still see angels when you wear them. I let several others look through them and they were amazed.

People who live near Disney and go all the time are a lot more biased to wanting new everything, do to going to the park so often I could see why you’d want constant change, but Disney needs to consider the fans that fall in love with certain attractions and keep coming back to see said attractions and it seems like lately Disney is getting rid of everything heavily loved by its fans.

I agree, we haven’t been since 2014. Mostly because of how much planning is involved (plus the cost). We’re looking to come down for a camping trip this summer and so much will be closed that 1/2 the trip we plan on just chilling at fort wilderness or doing a day trip somewhere else (maybe sea world). I have a sense of urgency to have the kids see the parks before EVERYTHING nostalgic gets ripped out 😢

I’ve always loved the honest perspective you keep on the Orlando attractions. Especially if you’re selling vacations you’re selling a realistic expectations and can let your customers make wise decisions. Sadly Disney over the last 5 years has diluted their product and just charges more. I really hope universal can kind of give them a kick in the rear to wake them up. Even from a production standpoint in their TV and entertainment. As a local I miss the old Disney and the magic it had, wish I could give my kids the same experiences I grew up with, but can only tell them stories about it! Keep it up!

I personally believe that if this is the way Disney is going to kill off the Muppets they should have never got the franchise in the first place. I understand the appeal to kids now is lacking. However, they are their own genre of characters that deserves to at least be represented in the light and legacy that Jim Henson envisioned. I used to believe the downfall of Disney began with Covid and their ability to wipe the slate clean and implement all of these very unpopular ideas. But I was wrong. It started when they took out the Osborne Lights. One of the iconic things in the park during Christmas! Its uniqueness was exactly what Disney represented. And now? You tell me what Disneys vision is?

Disney's biggest problem is removing classics to add new lands and rides, rather than leaving the classics and adding new attractions and lands. A great example of that is the People Mover at Disneyland. They removed it to put in a half assed Rocket Rods. When the RR didn't work because of budget cuts, they were removed and for over 25 years the tracks have rotted over Tomorrowland. Now, they are doing the same at DW, and the perfect example of that is the future demolition of Rivers Of America at MK. That is the biggest travesty thus far. Add don't take away.

Thank you for the honesty! As a Disney Adult (who raised my now grown daughters to also love Disney), we also love Universal. For us, each offers something the other doesn’t. I can't disagree that since re-opening in 2020, some of the magic is missing. We still visit at least annually, we do still love it. We're not a fan of some of the announced changes. I am excited about Montropolis but do love Muppets. RnRC with the Muppets will be fun. I feel Muppetvision could go in the old Little Mermaid show building or where Lightning McQueen was and have Villians in the Little Mermaid building. Villians next to RnRC (Muppets coaster) seems weird to me. I LOVE Villians but I feel like Disney is getting away from what they are best at... immersive lands when you throw this and that here and there. Where is the cohesive theming? I would prefer to see Launch Bay moved into the (closed) Starcruiser. For the old Starcruiser, have the option for a unique dining experience similar to what was offered and the ability to book the adventures/quests as MPLL options. Also, open it up as a Moderate Resort. Keep Rivers of America. Build Carsland Beyond Big Thunder. Make a separate park for Villians (so excited for Dark Universe at Epic). One thing we love about Disney (besides the nostalgia), is thr immersive lands. WWoHP offers thag experience but Epic will be on a totally different level and we are beyond excited for it!
