Saying Goodbye to New Balance 608 | Time For A New Brand & No Pain

Reviewing my new pair & comparing the Hoka to my previous New Balance 608.
With prayer God revealed the shoe for me. He gave me peace about this new pair. You just can't give up. You know it is right when you put your foot in it. There isn't a need to break them in.

I've owned several pairs of New Balance shoes over the years and my current pair is the 608. They're very comfortable and fit my feet just fine. I wear them in rotation with my other shoes.

608s are not running shoes. They are good WALKING shoes and also last a lot longer than some of the junk that Kmart and Volume/Payless got from Asia (as in over 4 months average and I pronate badly). And your shoes are made in China. You can do much better. I'm betting the sole platform does little to correct pronation and the material will exacerbate this in short order. But best of luck in your quest. And I have worn this model for at least five years and can get them at our local department store without going to an outlet. The price is often a bargain on sale and I got a great 'new' pair unboxed at a local thrift store for less than $11 (deal of the year vs. $40 -60). And they are just my size, I often wear WIDE shoes.

PS If you do it right you do not have to break in a shoe. Size it correctly, get the right shoelaces and loosen them from the bottom then tighten the laces to a comfortable tension. They should not come off your foot without untying. You are not here to bind your foot however.
