Very cool for you to give this to your cousin! Like you said money is one thing, but giving it to someone that will appreciate it means a lot more.

Sad to see it go KAG. Thanks for guiding me to creating my 1st mod which was a K I as well. Im happy I was also able to create and contribute to your K I mod. ( the control panel and bezel ). As you know, we had similar journeys. Going from a K I mod to finally obtaining an original fullsize K I. Now, both of us obtain nothing but full size originals. I now enjoy restoring originals and making fullsize multicades. I most likely will keep my K I mod since that was my 1st mod and is what led me to where I am today. At some point in time I will need to pick your brain on a future project regarding pc and crt connections. :) Thanks again to you and the channel. My new arcade hobby has given me personal satifaction and some cash on the side making other gamers must haves, a reality. HAPPY GAMING! from BIG D RETRO

I appreciate you making those for me. That really helped it take its “final form”! I always said I’d keep mine like you but after seeing it decay in the garage I had to let it go. The CRT MAME thing is worth it! It really gives it an authentic feel. I don’t think most could detect I was running MAME unless they were really into a certain game.

Kind of like when I had my '83 Toyota Celica GTS sitting around, when I got one of my Z's going. And my brother needed a car at the time. So I sold it to him and told him if he ever had to sell it to contact me first. It was appraised and worth quite a few thousand now. End of an era with your first modded cabinet, but will not be forgotten man. Way to go with your channel! Keep it up!

I don't have any 1Up's as the scale wasn't right for me, but there's no denying that when these came out the first few years they were probably the single biggest gateway into getting people into custom and full size home arcades and giving rise to new demands for parts and custom products. If they fit your space constraints and you have fun with them, then nobody can complain about someone else's fun. Not sure what the company is doing now but the direction seems to have been off for the last few years.
@KillerArcadeGamesАй бұрын
They never really nailed the design for tall people. I guess it’s just too difficult to keep it 3/4 scale. I have no clue what they’re up to now. It seems the boom is long over for those machines. Turning them into MAME machines is rare now days too. But yeah, if you like them I’m all for people enjoying them. I’ll always prefer the real thing, even if they’re a pain at times lol

@@KillerArcadeGames Oh, your choice, not what comes with a 1Up setup? My bad. I would be disappointed to know an average zero delay would be an official setup for it tho. Ipac is normally the choice folks decide for. I've ended up migrating to Pi Pico due to its many possibilities on custom setups.

2 things man First, I also used 1up mods as my gateway drug to real arcades thanks to you haha. Secondly, I really liked your story of doing chores to go to the arcade. My best friend and I would mow our parents yards to get money only to blow it at the local putt-putt arcade.
