It always baffles me with your channel how you produce such great content, as you do and the subscriber count doesn’t reflect the effort. In time i have no doubt the hardest part is up and 1 million is just beyond the horizon and very well deserved. I look forward to your videos as I imagine 100k+ other people do too. video making is good but the car progression is terrible and hes not that great at working on cars so no one is coming here to follow the build, for example, watch the guy that is building the F40 and kswaps Ferrari, or all the east coast content creators and drifters, jimmy oakes and them their channels are growing. but look at a person like taylor ray been watching his videos for almost 10 years and in the last 6 years his viewership probably only doubled and its still not even good

I think it's because Taylor doesn't put in enough video editing effort. The same with Jimmy Oakes. They.build way better cars than me, but don't put in the time to make it a good story. Both of them have stalled out. I love their builds though!

My suggestion is to add some “how tos” in some of these instead of just timelapse as this will give people a reason to watch/learn. Also, maybe some quick POV drives of one of the running cars at some point in every vid? I dunno. I agree that he should have more subs. Great channel.

Thank you for your honesty throughout the transaction and always been a good sport about the car. I was being very very hard on the car when the coolant lines popped and bled all its fluid. I bought it to enjoy it and this is part of it. I dropped it off at my friends shop today and will take the engine out and do all the “while we are in there” items. You built a damn good car and I plan to drive the hell out of it for many years to come. The goal is to have a 250k 996 Turbo!

Only 250k miles? Have a google... there's a guy who's got a 996 turbo with over 680,000 miles and even tracks the thing! Porsche built incredible machines!

@ considering that my Mustang I was doing roughly 1,500 miles per year, it’s going to take me around 10 years to get to 250k. So that’s why the number. If it’s more then let’s do it, but that’s my reasoning for the number.

really appreciate your 996 turbo videos it made me go buy a salvage title 996 turbo worked on it basically for 11 months straight and mine has been fantastic other than a steering rack braking on me 30 miles into getting it road worthy again....

For real. I like all cars, but I’m most interested in trucks and older Porsches, though an E30M is one of my two favorite cars ever, and I do have a C5 Z06 and no Porsche… Regardless, this is the best automotive channel in my opinion. Most channels aren’t this well done and only focus on cars I like or trucks. This has both.

Just recently found the channel and subscribed last week. Worried you were calling it quits! Happy that’s not the case. I just recently sold my E90 M3 with 110K on BAT after 10 yrs of ownership out of fear of the main bearings (all other stuff had been addressed). I guess I still have some sick obsession with the S65, which is how I found the channel. Hope to see that car back soon and super excited to see the E30 M3 build continue. This car is the reason I subscribed to your channel. I'm happy to see it go to a good new owner who wants to enjoy it and drive it. Also glad you have room for new projects! Thanks for not gatekeeping the numbers on everything. Buying & modifying/fixing cars is NOT cheap. I've had the same experience with my 135i. Bought it for $13k years ago, and since then, have invested another $45k in it, but it's still a $18k car at best. But I will never sell it, because nothing else drives like it or looks as good. 🤘 Believe me, I've tried. I've tried finding suitable replacements. Nothing speaks to me. So now I'm just focusing on getting a classic car or maybe a bike next 😁

Happy Holidays, Matt 🎉. Yes, I feel your pain. I, too, had to say goodbye to my one and only prize possession. My E46 325ci coupe. Diamond black, Uni-chipped, 18" BBS deep dished rims, Lexis tail lights, M-sport led fender indicators. Dropped her by 30mm. She was washed and cleaned every weekend. She was a real head turner. Unfortunately I had take care of my Mom's financial situation. That was 4 yrs ago, and still miss the vehicle. When I parked her,I would always look back at her. Damm, she was Beautiful 😢

Happy New Year Matt! I admit, the click bait and intro fooled me into watching. I was going to watch anyway because it's you and your posts are fun and informative. I don't own a Porsche and hope to before I'm too old to appreciate it. I'm such a Porsche fanboy I convinced an old high school friend to trade in his Challenger Demon and buy a 991.2 C2. He wasn't sorry and neither was I. The people at Autohaus were great as well. However, I do own family members (Audi and VW) and sometimes if a supplier makes something for Porsche they make it for Audi or VW so there's a practical benefit from watching your vids as well. Anyway, I'm eager to see what your next yellow project is.

I see a lot of people commenting on those Matt Armstrong videos say they like them because they can just hit play while they’re working on their projects etc.. I watch them when I’m trying to decompress and fall asleep because I know I have at least an hour or more of content that I enjoy without YT playing some random ass video I have no interest in. But I understand either way. Thanks for alway putting out great content it’s much appreciated specially in these winter months 😁.
