While visiting London I was walking to the Royal Albert Hall. I noticed a great big house and Jimmy Page walking into it. Figured this was my chance to say hello to the Rock God.

I have heard different stories of Page being somewhat rude or off putting to people or fans. But everytime I see things like this he seems more gracious than most. There is a real short clip of Page arriving backstage at Madison Square Garden and you see this either security guard or police man guarding the dressing room and Page gave him this real nice handshake and greeting. That is more than most celebrities acknowledge their security.

@Tom Decuca I was around in the seventies and I can tell you that things were a lot different back then. Led Zeppelin was not very much in the media at all. They were a very quiet band in terms of press. They let the music do the talking for them. which we all thought was very cool. These days it's like 90% media and 10% music as opposed to the other way around.

Big difference because Lennon was a douche, thought he was an elite prophet and better than everyone else etc. and was a lyricist, hence the delusional brainwashed shooter. Page never wrote anything, just a humble person at heart, watch his interviews and do more research than being paranoid, as stated he's been living there for decades, and his fans adore him. In fact , Page has personally stated checking out the new local groups regularly in his area just to see what is going on and anything new or innovative. It’s hard to know what to say to your favorite celebrities without tensing up and thinking, “Who am I compared to them? Why should I waste their time?” I have met a few. It’s always a little awkward, but I try to be chill and just talk to them in a friendly manner with casual greetings, like a normal person, as you did.

Didn't realise there was such a small setback from the road to his front door and such a low wall. Very exposed. He doesn't drive as far as I remember, so unless he had a driver, a bit pointless getting remote-controlled gates put in. Plus he lives in London, so driving is a pain anyway. Pre-covid, he was regularly seen walking about and doing shopping with his young girlfriend etc so he's not averse to being out in public.
@sdc7823

He probably doesn't get bothered as much over there as he would here. I'm not saying he doesn't get asked for autographs and pictures, etc in London, but it'd be 100 times worse here in the US. Believe that
