Pretty reasonable price for an SG type guitar. Sounds great dude!

Vintage just has it where it counts for me. Compared to their competitors they seem to remember to focus more on feel and sound, which is why a lot of us really bond with them. Too many comparable guitars don't sound great and don't feel musical, too product-y.

I've got a rare 2010 version (in ebony) with symmetrical horns and white binding around the fretboard and it is a surprisingly good guitar for the money. Wilkinson pickups are like somewhat hotter PAFs and it stays in tune remarkably well for a short scale guitar with 3/3 tuners, even when in dropped tunings. Surprisingly, since the models with binding were made only from 2010 to 2012, I've recently come across the exact same model, only in cherry. I considered buying that one as well, alas I didn't react fast enough.

Yes, the old Reissued (gloss finish) versions had a brief run with binding around the fretboards. They seem to be fairly rare. As far as I can tell the old Icon/Distressed version never had binding until the recent model change. Collect them all I say!

@@SayonaraSixString I've never seen the distressed version until I've come across your video. Now I want one of those as well! This is probably getting out of hand, but I love SGs with passion. And in particular, I've come to prefer Vintage ones to Epiphones.
