My favourite is the Thomas Blug signature series strat. I will never part with that guitar. If you guys find one you should definitely review it. Keep up the great work, I'm a new subscriber.

hello guys! I own myself a Vintage VS6 reissued China (2019) made model.It is a very nice easy to play rock n roll guitar! The pickups are so well made... I am so happy i bought it. However there were some things that I had to fix. 1) The frets were too sharp and I was always getting injured, so I had to repair them. 2) The input jack is not so well built and while the cable is rotating the input jack comes loose. So the signal cannot go through the guitar to the amplifier. This is also my biggest problem. I really enjoyed your video greetings from Germany!!
@TheGuitarBay
@TheGuitarBay 3 жыл бұрын
Glad you are enjoying the guitar Giannis, we always recommend taking your guitar to a professional if you have fret issues, input jack is a common cheaper part on import guitars but this is easily replaceable. Enjoy the guitar but maybe invest in taking it to a Repair shop, restring it and enjoy the best version of it

@@luxinterior5 After setting the intonation about half a year ago I did not have to change it. It was okay with the default settings but I did set the guitar up to my own taste anyway. Over time I have changed the action height, pickup height, intonation, string gauge and the bridge height (as I currently use top wrapping). None of these were a neccessity, the guitar was fine out of the box, but it plays and sounds even better now. The guitar body is very resonant, I think the sustain is very good. If you can, I suggest to try them out before you buy one, because there were two seemingly identical models in the shop where I have bought mine, and they felt different to me.

Hi guys! love your videos! i've never had a "good" guitar (i play in bands, and have played live at gigs, but i always borrow a guitar from my friends) just had a Freeman and a Ibanez gio. I've found this guitar new for a little less than $400 (Here in Chile is kinda' difficult to find good guitars at a good prize) I loved the sound, and i've played Gibsons SG in the past and loved them for playing Doom metal. I thinking on buying it, but i dont know if in the future it would be worth modifying it? like some new pickups or smthing, would it be worth it?

Hey Adrin, Thanks so much for watching, these comments keep us going and motivated! I have a newer offset model in white with a bound neck and gold hardware. Sadly it doesn't have the inlaid headstock logo, just paint. The trussrod needed loosening and the bridge needed lowering. The bridge is pretty poor quality as the saddle screws want to come out when turning anti-clockwise. It's also as low as it will go which means the neck angle is too shallow. I'll get a file onto the bottom of the bridge and also deepen the post inserts into the body. The black plastic nut is pretty cheap and the slots are still too high. I'll change it for a bone nut. I'm not a fan of the tuners, but they work. I'd prefer thicker Grovers. The action is still a little too high but all the frets play cleanly. I'm sure the frets will need levelling when I do get the action down where I want it. The frets haven't been crowned very well. And now the good parts. This guitar has unbelievable sustain and the pickups are just beautiful with a full range clear definition. It rings like a bell. I have the intonation dialled up and it plays in tune right up the neck: open C chords Open E chords, all bar chords as high up the neck as you like, nice! The offset model has zero neck dive. However... If you buy a new one online, expect to do some extensive work or spend money getting it set up. Alternative? Check out Green Guitars from Sweden. Much better quality for the same price. The old Vintages ( I have 2) are much better quality than the new ones. You can tell the old ones as they have pearl inlaid headstock logo and motifs, so hold out for a used model.
