My mom and I are extremely close and like best friends and have a healthy relationship. @ihateallyall3 ай бұрын
well, by your comment your mother did not act like that and was a better mother. it’s easy to say if she ever did behave in this way she’d be scared of what you would say to her, but, that’s likely because you were raised by better people, or maybe not - but either way you learned self preservation and have the confidence to not surround yourself with this toxicity. when you’re raised by somebody like this you may not learn or feel okay with defending yourself from them because they’ve been beating you down your entire life. upbringings/parenting styles really impact a child’s personality and confidence.

In my experience with my bio mom, teenage moms never stop being teenagers, unfortunately. Having a child as a child seems to have a negative effect on people's abilities to grow and mature. I've noticed it with my bio mom and so many other teen moms. I unfortunately have cut my bio mom out of my life at this point because her lack of maturity and inability to accept responsibility for anything was too much for me to deal with. Seeing how my bio mom and other teen moms act as adults was the best birth control motivation I could have ever had. I didn't want to be like them, and luckily, I didn't have a kid as a teenager!
