The problem with the fiance being there it's becomes about what he wants but not how the bride feels
@StillJustDreaming4 жыл бұрын
Exactly! Some fiances on these shows support the bride and stand up for her and what she wants. This couple seems to think that the groom should care what she wears - but he's not the one wearing it!
@RayneZaleska4 жыл бұрын
I have seen it the other way around as well. When the fiance isn't there the bride is none stop worried about if the fiance will like it and what he would ultimately want her to wear so she cant make a decision. If I had actually had a wedding I would have had my husband there dress shopping with me. 1) I am agoraphobic so i would not have been able to do it on my own and I do not have many friends who will be truthful with me about how I look in something and 2) my husband then fiance would have made sure I like the dress before he said yes or no to it because it was important that I like the dress more than anyone else. I would not have been able to make a decision without him there though because I respect his opinions and even though the dress was for me he was included in all the decisions for our wedding. We ended up not having a wedding because his father was getting sick. We rushed our marriage and I wore a sun dress and he wore a buttoned up shirt. We got married on the board walk in his home town. his father officiated and his mother was witness. Since then his father has passed and we are very happy that we were able to marry before that horrible day we lost him. We do however want to have a big wedding. Probably a vowel renewal and reception later when we have the money.

And did he really just say he needs to stand his ground since he wants a short dress bc HE HAS TO LOOK AT IT TOO? He's got some NERVE!?!?! And then telling her he doesn't like the flowers, he doesn't like the lace, he doesn't like this or that?! Homeboy can't be serious!!

Lord knows I've seen a bunch of brides insist on what the groom is to wear. From insisting on certain colors (such as matching the bridesmaids or a specific color theme) to selecting the tuxedo. No one seems to get upset when that happens though. I get why brides and grooms have requests for each other, they all want to be happy. What's more important is how they treat each other and share their ideas. I thought the way the bride and groom interacted was a positive example for how all couples should interact when they have differing ideas.

Others on this comment section are bashing this groom because they bought into the mantra it is the bride's day and to hell with the groom or the family members and their opinions. I personally have no issues with compromises since a marriage needs lots of it and a wedding is not a marriage. But that is me and other women who believe that the wedding is about the union and making it public to be celebrated by family members, relatives, and friends. I always sense a little bit of relationship toxicity when the groom is there, every time I click I hope I'm wrong but I haven't been yet...

This woman is truly loving and humble. People are too busy feeling entitled to what “I” want or what “I” deserve... when we are considerate to one another we are really displaying love and humility...

I REALLY THOUGHT about this for a deep second...and for all the women saying he should have no say on her dress....let's flip that for just a moment, and let's say your groom wanted to wear like a bright yellow tux on your wedding day...would you really be like, 'babe, it's your day too, wear whatever." No, you wouldn't. What I do think though is that he wasn't really hearing for the most part what the bride wanted and trying to compromise on a look until the final dress.

Why bring the fiancé? It’s her moment now. His will be when she comes down the aisle. 😜

Trashing $2000 wedding dress by jumping in seawater after seems a waste, but memorable indeed. But does this guy going to enjoy trashing swimming in his tux too? Not just the bride, but groom too! Both swimming fully clothed for luck shared, as well as unique wedding pictures opportunity. Taking back to tux rental and explaining its condition would be memorable! May be he buys a cheep one that's trashed swimming in it too?

“I feel I need to stand my ground because I’m nontraditional and I have to look at it too.” Boy, you’re getting married to her, you should like her in whatever she is wearing!

Y’all need to stop attacking the guy he’s just giving his opinion he actually seems sweet plus it wouldn’t be safe to jump in the water with a giant long dress I know ppl do that but it can god forbid sometimes end badly

"The dress is for him" girl, then let him wear it! The bride shouldn´t feel pressured like this. It´s her choice and I´m glad she choose the one she likes. She looks so happy :)
