small tip for swimming: dont press jump it gives you a small boost but it uses up alot of air so jus only swim with arrow keys also theres no wrong direction in this game, go wherever :D

I've got to ask now: this is a difficult game. People will try to give you unsolicited tip. Are there any kinds of advice you DO want? Part of the magic is obtaining mastery by yourself, but this can also be frustrating.

I'm not gonna spoil anything, but when you encounter a new thing that isn't to big/menacing or killing you on the spot, it usually means that it has a use. In this episode I was able to count 4 game mechanic that you avoided by fear of them (the game is really hard if you don't test things). So, as a tips, be more curious, it will probably help you a lot for the future!

despite how much i love this game, i will agree on the fact that a lot of its mechanics are communicated in an unintuitive way and some things almost require you to download a mod that helps better visualize stuff, like a breath meter mod

all I will say on your progress so far is you have picked a challenging route for yourself. other then that though it is absolutely wonderful to see you giving this game a go, it's controls do take a bit to fully get used to, but it is so much fun to master both the movement and your knowledge of this game's world and how it works, and I'm definitely looking forward to watching more of this from you.

The devs should really make tutorial friend more inclined to tell you the better path out of outskirts Granted drainage system DOES have a path leading to stuff, hopefully hopefully you don't suffer too much death before getting back on track. Personally I'd go back to outskirts

I think there's a way to garbage wastes, and that's about it, i guess he could end up at sub terranean and then that would suck, well I'll see as i watch the videos.

I'd suggest you replaying the game and going to another location, not drainage system, because it's, in my opinion, one of the hardest locations there are ( you haven't gotten to the hard parts of the location yet, but trust me - they do exist, and are hard af )

I went Outskirts > Drainage System > Garbage Wastes > Shoreline > LttM > Shaded Citadel where I got horribly stuck and frustrated so left the game and later restarted from scratch, taking a completely different path.
