To echo the tip: Tapping A while swimming gives you a speed boost but makes you run out of air very fast. Only use it if you have to.

Yeah slugcat swims real fast even without it, but if you wiggle the slugcat left and right while going up can save you from leeches if they're barely dragging you under and it uses no air, and gives a boost, idk maybe slugcat switches to crawl gear.

if drainage feels impassable to ya, dont feel bad about backtracking, theres always different routes from area to area and you can try to find another route in outskirts if findin a way through drainage is to tough atm for ya :D

12:56 You have to take time to breath between each swimming, if you keep going underwater you'll end up drowning fast. When underwater, you have a small light around you. The more it flashes, the less air you have left. It's one of the hardest part of the game, so if you can pass this, you'll be fine.

Hi SB! Really hope you stick with Rain World, it is something truly special. Unfortunately for you, Drainage System is one of the most difficult areas in the game to navigate, and assumes knowledge of some movement systems the game introduces more gently elsewhere.. (swimming, wall jumping, backflips, etc..) Drainage System is actually locked behind another mechanic that you're in the process of figuring out, so they try to protect new players from even getting in there, but you managed to make it past the air lock at the start! Hoping you're still having fun with it, I don't want to spoil anything but spears do have a very useful function in that they can be used as makeshift platforms - that command over your movement you mentioned will only continue to grow. If Drainage System is really getting you down, absolutely go back to the starting area - there are kinder paths in the game!

you drowned really quickly because when your underwater and you boost by jumping it actually takes quite a bit of your air supply so try not to do that unless you have to (:

If you want to brute force your way out of drainage throw a rock at the giant tentacle monster and pass there, after there there's the "softlock hibernation station" once you're there you're trapped into the submerge route. The exit to the right region is in the farthest "right" of this whole place. I wonder what's next

You should use spears for the monster kelp but idk he has like 20 episodes already i hope he ain't stuck in here anymore.

Hi, SB! I heard you mention your love of the fluidity of lil slugcat in ep 1, and nobody else mentioned it in the comments since, but the reason for this is there are no pre-made animationa for stuff. an AI gets the model of the thing doing stuff, and what it wants to do, then makes it happen. (Or at least that's what I know of it.)

Also don't mash A to swim, that gives you a small speed boost, but drains a lot of air. You only need to use it to avoid enemies in the water sometimes. Don't worry about going back - there's a lot more to explore, you don't have to go through the drainage system! You can do it!

Drainage system is little bit advenced area, you can Explore the started area again Edit: There is a thing about Rain world, it Takes 20 hour to truly enjoy this game Drainage system sucks lol

Pop Bugs can kill the leeches, you can use that to get past that one home stretch.

Also if you soak the blue plant thing in water it can actually become edible and can be used to not sink into the water

TIP: put the fruit of the blue flower in water then you can eat it. And I suggest you go back to Outskirts. You're going to have a hard time here.
