Treasure knight has an insane amount of stage presence and things like parry traps that make it feel like he’s playing a different game than everyone else.

I'm so glad people are keeping this game alive. I love this game a lot, but it was dealt such a bad hand debutign during/around COVID. I thought it was for sure going to be forgotten. Glad to see it still getting some action!

I remember when my lad and I first found this mode we played it for hours. Good to see Mona is top tier because I complained about her a lot, also sick to see this is played competitively. Keep it up man

You can play it on console by getting treasure knight treasure trove there is no online play on console. For pc you can just get it on steam and play online if you join the discord.

Kind of, treasure knight is just the best character in our ruleset (specter knight is banned) his playstyle and options don’t hard counter mole knight but treasure knight is so good it’s hard for mole knight to do anything. Also aware is not a mole knight player, he usually plays Reize, dark Reize and shield knight so it was a surprising pick since he never played mole knight in friendly games either.😹

@@klortikterra4423 I picked up treasure knight and played him only against him this tournament so he had no idea what to pick and he thought dig might be a counter so he played mole knight.

Quick question: since Shovel knight showdown is such a simple game. How would you say you get better? Like what are some tips or tricks/tech I should know?

I asked a couple people this question and this were their responses: learning the techs for the characters we love to play like the super jump for tinker for or knowing the gimmicks of characters ex like black knight he's dodge ignores all frames and fires back Imo is more based on tech and the character you play more than skill Skill is still really important, without it Tinker and Mona wouldn't be top tier Practice. Preferably wirh good people. Learning what your character can and can't get away with, getting better at timing parries and baiting your opponents. Since the game is so simple a lot of it is either just mechanical practice or practicing mental games imo it's about matchup knowledge, ability to apply it with more consistancy and improving your neutral game

How come neither of you tried to do the teleport tech with dark reize? Is it banned, or is it just too situational?

What teleport tech are you talking about?

It's an air stall that basically lets him fly. Since throwing a boomerang stalls you in the air, and you can charge a teleport while you throw one, you can continuously ascend upwards until you run out of teleports

@@brain_cell It’s not banned and it’s really not that good either since it’s puts you in a disadvantaged state in most matchups like the ones played in the set. We call it the teleport air stall btw.
