It's almost ridiculous how much untapped talent is in the Philippines. I'm so incredibly proud that SB19 are the key to unlock our countrymen's talents. They are the epitome of talent, humility and Filipino pride. I am a very proud Filipina bc of them.🇵🇭❤️🌟

i think Pablo is one of the main reason why SB19 is different among the rest of the PPOP groups.. his songs os really a work of a genius,.. other groups just sing the song that was given to them.. thats why sometimes there is no connection.. but for SB19 they really sing their life story,, you can feel their passion while singing because it is their song...

I agree with this, aside from being package group, pablo’s songwriting skill is so good especially his ballads.

What sets SB19 apart is that they are not just some random idols that can sing and dance put together. They do it on such a high level that they leave very good impression. They leave a mark on anyone who has seen them. I remember Stell commenting this on a talent on TVG. He said while the performance was great, it was forgettable because it has no defining moment. It lacks that one part that people will remember you by. That's where SB19 excels. They leave indelible imprints to people watching. They are so good that people simply can't help but to know them more. Then, they discover their personalities. Game over! They're sucked in. They cannot escape SB19's charm anymore. That's where other groups are lacking. They seem too generic and eventually, those few people that genuinely liked them discover their true personalities which becomes the breaking point. That's why they don't take off. By the way, the song that you liked from the group 1:43 (Sa Isang Sulyap Mo) was previously the most viewed PPOP music video of all time until Gento came. The record should have been shattered long ago by MAPA (currently 92M views) but it was under lyric video category.

So, “Sa Isang Sulyap Mo” has really been dethroned? I remember in the early days of the Gento release, that was the drive in the AOG gcs. Hehe. Im happy that Gento now holds the record for the most viewed OPM omv 🥰🥰🥰 because it means A’Tin did achieve the goal! Yehey! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I like sb19 because they are much more intelligent than people credit them for. Many people here can sing and dance and many a'tin, like me, ignore them. We are not interested to invest heavily on mere entertainment. Sb19 rose to where they are now because they attracted the people very much like them, the a'tin who are intelligent, kind, supportive, open minded to different, discontented with average. A'tin banded together to start that ripple of change for sb19. Who knew sb19 and a'tin would love and support each other as they do now? Both give and take, something unusual for a famous person and fans. That relationship is usually walled up, kind of 1 way? Sb19 and a'tin have a reciprocating relationship. Growing A'tin right is what sb19 did that the other previous groups did not.

RIGHT?! It's beyond entertainment, it's that X-FACTOR SB19 has! I really wanted to stan more and support other ppop groups but, I can't get that "connection" I have with MAHALIMA.. so why force myself if my heart wants only one to love.. 🌭🍗🍓🍡🌽💙💙💙💙💙

Ms HJ, we A'tin same as you feel very protective and invested in SB19. Their difficult journey to stardom always brings me to tears whenever it is talked about but it made them better and stronger that's why they are the World Class group that they are today and the boys humility is truly humbling as a fan. Their music is what I listen to everyday and will continue to support the boys for as long as Im able to. I Hope PPop continues to thrive as this is the goal of SB19 from the beginning. ❤

4th impact actually took part in the UK X Factor and i think finished fifth. They joined many competitions before since they've been together literally their whole lives (they're sisters) On SB19, I also feel it was a combination of fate putting these 5 specific guys to come together and their own hard work. They created their own opportunities by knowing what they want to do and worked on it. But how they came together, the decisions made, chances taken but missed only to lead them to where they are now - feels predestined (even if i'm usually not one to believe in such things). It's like they're meant to do something big that's beyond themselves.

SB19’s brand and core are: their identity and PUSO. They fought for what’s inside of them to become their actual art and I admire them IMMENSELY for that. They hated being idols while having to go through that path for their dreams. This thought reminds me of PABLO’s “???” and “Kumunoy”, also the five’s “Ilaw”. It’s like he’s screaming for them to be able to break free from a dark age, one that hinders them from being seen and heard for who they really are. And when they finally did with “What?” 🌪️💥✨ happened. What amazes me in addition is their evident humility whenever they question if they have done enough. I appreciate so much how they constantly aspire and work to better themselves and the quality of the work they put out, and how big their dreams and belief are in Filipino art and talent.

SB19's creativity and their willingness to put forth hardwork, remaining grounded is notable. Their belief in the beauty of their dreams is very relatable. They are all just endearing. I see a lot of other groups in K-Pop and the P-pop who are equally skilled, talented and hardworking but there's something in SB19 that is captivating; that inspires enduring devotion from us as a fan. It's probably their personalities and their struggles. I was born in the 70s yet I find SB19' and their music likeable. Them and EZ Mil are truly gems who represent not just themselves but the country as well.

In my opinion, SB19 as everyone knows, was created by a Korean entertainment company. So, naturally they would have some levels of K-influence. But in my opinion, as years go by, SB19's style is getting closer to BSB's & NSYNC's with a Filipino flavor. It seems that the Philippines never left the, what many people call the Golden Age of Real Pop Music, the prime era of Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, BSB, NSYNC, Westlife, etc., whom a lot of recent Filipino music artists also got influenced by. I'm saying this because I myself got influenced by my classmates to sing with them during short breaks in highschool. And oh, how great their songs were - truly meaningful, minimal sexualization and minimal superficiality. PS: The song you were curious about: SA ISANG SULYAP MO by 1:43 kzbin.info/www/bejne/f4vNgZ1jdtmoqKM

I've seen these earlier groups before and few left a mark on me except for Sex Bomb and Streetboys, simply because the former is part of a daily noontime show. But I do relate with you when you say there is something special about SB19. It has to be their songs and how they sing them. If you are Filipino, having the vocals is a given. SB19 pulled me into their songs and made me feel every word and note. There are quite a number that can do that but I don't know why I gravitated and went into the sinkhole with SB19. Another thing, that I appreciated is the substance, depth, and authenticity they have. Proof of which SB19 is now part of an elective course at the University of the Philippines.

Logging in...😊 I don't know how to summarize or how to clearly express my thoughts on this. As a Pinoy living in PH, I would say PPop is still not recognized well by the general public here. Just like how SB19 is working really hard to make ppop known not just in PH but all over the world, ppop groups here in PH are really doing their hardest to be recognized but unfortunately, only few groups were getting (a bit of) recognition. Although OPM literally means Original Pilipino Music, Pinoy still can't wrap their heads around that ppop is also OPM. So ppop groups are still crawling to be recognized... Or maybe Pinoys are just really hard on ourselves because we are so used to having so much talent, so only the best of the best are being recognized?

Hi Hurraira, maybe someday you can also react to another successful Filipino (featured on Chuck's video) named Jake Zyrus aka Charice who also had a pretty successful career overseas a few years ago and worked with David Foster, appeared On Ellen and Oprah, and whose album also entered the billboard charts (top 6 or 8 I think). Notable songs are Pyramid and Note to God (both performed on Oprah).
