Sandara from 2NE1 was insanely popular in the Philippines. She had a promising career there. She considers the PH as her second home cause she grew up there as a child. Apparently she moved back to Korea due to alleged family problems.

Eraserheads genre is not about Pop but an alternative rock. So that they didn't include in ppop. But eraserheads are the legend band here in Philippines. Until now, their songs still alive specially in karaoke hahaha.

If I'm not mistaken, it was Joey de Leon, (an icon when it comes to comedy and has his fair share contribution in the OPM industry) who came with the idea of naming the girl group, Sexbomb, which was the main dancers of the longest running daily noon time show, Eat Bulaga where Joey is also one of the main hosts up to date. I think, it was the time the song Sexbomb by Tom Jones became a phenomenal song here in the Philippines. (anyone can correct me if I'm wrong)

6:05 da coconut nut is originally recorded and performed by smokey mountain, before it became famous in choir competitions all over the world. then in 2020, bini did a pop version. 6:49 basically, eraserheads is not considered because they are a rock band, and they don't dance. LOL

Thank you King NEU for this reaction of the evolution of PPop. Anyway for me the difference of Ppop to Kpop is very simple the pop genre is there then K is about Koreans who make songs, dance, sing and perform. Then Ppop is a pop group with a pop genre or mix genre that are Pinoy or Pilipino/Filipino that make songs, sing, dance and perform easy. No one owns a certain genre the difference of Ppop to Kpop and Jpop or American pop is their origin the language but then again they are Pop genre or music. In our country we have OPM or Original Pilipino Music where music is created and performed by Filipinos and the language used are Tagalog or Filipino or other native languages in the Philippines that is mix genre there are ballad, rnb, rock, band, pop etc.

I think time his making this doc. Eh wala pang lumabas na video nila kya pansin mo bandang huli narin ung vxon mostly as we can see mga old videos pa ng PPOP ung nkuha nya. Kya don't mis-understand Chuck & me one our favorite is G22 npka angas ng 1st mv song nila kudos po to KZ tandingan who mentored them with her artistic style in singing like #SB19 they got that energy & vocals tos all of them their visuals ❤️ angels beauty..
