Thank you as always for your RV to our dear SB19. Pablo being such a gifted lyricist ably composes songs that have substance, very deep meanings, about topics not easy to discuss in real time. I really love that his songwriting challenges listeners to be more sensitive, observant and respectful of the people around them. Ilaw or Light may mean the limelight in their career path, or for other people it could be expectations that one needs to meet but at times drags one down for whatever reason. Hope you can watch their live performance of the song during the Rappler Live Jam interview..or even at any of the fancam video footages during any of their concerts. In some ways, Ilaw may sound like a sad song, but it is actually a hopeful song, that allows a person to think deeper and recognize if one needs help and seek help they need to safely overcome any adversity they have.

yeah there's many interpretations for this but there isn't a wrong one! And i see yall are curious about where they come from.... You guys are probably wondering what would make them write a song like this? Or perhaps the other songs you've been listening to? What is their drive or reason? Well , i really suggest you guys to check out Casual Chuck's documentary on SB19. There's like 5 of them (i can't remember) but it's really good. It's in English. Others have reacted to that, maybe you could react to it too. but it's not a song or anything, but it's really higly recommended to check it. Casual Chuck did a good job making it.

Npw that you know the meaning of the song, I suggest that you watch their Rappler live performance of Ilaw to see which SB19 member was singing which part. By the way, the word i"ilaw" rhymes with the word, "cow." So, it's pronounced like this: eeee( (long e sound) --- law (rhymes with cow).
