When Pablo was asked about the meaning of the song I like his answer it doesn't matter what it means to them because the listener could relate to it in different ways. They could be the testament that they went through, they may not totally have surpassed it but are still fighting.

In one of the interviews they had with kwento Juan (which you can also search here in yt) Pablo shared his dark past when he said he went through "unspeakable" deed and confessed that he sinned. So I guess it translates to this song that he composed. Glad that he made it and surpassed that phase in his life. 🙏❤️

the first time i heard this song, ILAW translates to me as "the spotlight" in the perspective of a celebrity getting mental/emotional/social issues with their stardom. i heard this at the time when i saw a lot of suicide reports regarding Kpop celebrities and how their fans as well as anti-fans perceived them versus what/who they actually are. it's just overall sad.

You did pronounced it correctly. All SB19 songs have deep and wonderful meanings and very cleverly written, it’s the reason I started to become a fan. That is why it is always best to watch their official MV or Lyric video first for the right translations, then react to their live performances of that song.

Thank you for taking the time to understand the lyrics. Pablo and his writing, his words and poetry are amazing, they pierce through your skin, straight to your heart. These men delivered a very raw, emotional vocal performance. ❤❤❤ Liham is another beautiful song, also emotional but in a different way, more of love 💕

For one, SB19 has gone through so much from their Trainee Years and with their Success, Life does not stop bring New Sets of Challenges. I personally believe no one is exempt from the basic theme of "ILAW", which is at one time or another, having the need to be deeply understood and the need retreat and from the demands of ones' daily grind. It speaks of the need of the support and understanding from trusted family. loyal friends, the need for solitude to process internal battles, the need for rest periods for a balanced life and to be refreshed to see things in the best perspective. Thank you for your desire to Understand the Message of another Masterpiece by PABLO. Though still very young, you are a very insightful and have such a gentle heart. BTW, I saw a bit of your Tortoiseshell Kitty's torso and tail. I am a Cat/kitty Lover, an Animal Advocate and a Cat' Kitty Rescuer (30 total) in my yours years. I hope you show and Introduce your Kitty in one of your SB19 RVs Soon. Okay? What's her Name? 💙MAHALIMA GrandMa S., San Diego, CA

Watching vlogs and stuff about the boys and deducing from what the boys, Pablo mostly, hinted to, I think Ilaw tells about the hardship they had to go through under their former management (I think under Charles Kim who bought SBT, their first management, from Tatang Robin). Pablo wrote this a while back, prolly when they were under that company, when things were a bit bleak for them, being treated like merchandize (saw that snippet of CK grabbing the hands of Justin to make him wave to the fans, also that one of him pushing Josh away from the fan who was trying to hand him something, and a lot more accounts of mistreatment like him hitting Pablo on the nape, the boys being forced to work even when they were sick, etc.) and they had to smile and bear it because they wanted to be under the limelight they were seeking and they understood that sometimes, to lose one’s self was the price to pay although there were times they were screaming to be heard. Out of pity, a staff (I think this was Xianne who is still with them till now) sneaked them into a carnival where they were able to take a breather; and that is why the carousel is so symbolic to them, reason too why they used it in Freedom, their song about breaking away from the former management and establishing their own company, 1Z. 😊

Yes correct pronunciation, learn more Tagalog1 Yes, SB19 always waxes philosophical from the wisdom of their individual and collective experience by use of figures of speech and yes - play of words like Ma, Pa to mean mama and papa but Mapa is also a Tagalog of Map - their guide in life from the advises of parents. Gento is mixture of Ginto (Gold) and Gento ( a shortcut/slang of the a Cavite province word of Ganito - this is how it is, it is like, ) so Ginto is what they are like now or to that effect.
