to those who don't know, the title "MAPA" is actually like a play-on-words. in the Philippines, a lot of us call our parents mama (for mom) and papa (for dad) so when we call them together, it's usually "Ma, Pa". mapa is the filipino/tagalog word for map. so i really like the way sb19 and the producers wrote the lyrics of the song!! anyways this is such a nice cover! i cried 😭 i like the way you translated it (although it's not the literal translations, i'm sure it's done to better fit the song) and how you sang it to how it originally is, and didn't do any major changes. it made it sound pure and real, if that makes any sense. and can we appreciate how he played and she sang the song in one go? 👏👏👏👏✨✨✨✨

I'm a filipino and I feel guilty and ashamed that I heard this wholesome song first in this version (japanese). I thought SB19 was just a typical-tryhard-wanna-be-kpop-group but damn was I wrong! Immediately after watching this I searched for the original and damn I bawled like crazy, captivated all the words and emotion I want to express to my parents but for many reasons and past trauma, I can't seem to do that. Yeah this is the problem with us filipinos, you don't appreciate our very own filipino bands that has potential, until they're noticed internationally. Then if one recognizes them, they'll instantly turn into those overpoud filipino supporters that came out of nowhere. I'm not saying that changing impression is a bad thing but of course if that's what they are to you at first then it should've stayed that way because changing impression of them just because they're being appreciated internationally sounds so pathetic and almost as disgusting honestly.
