They did pave the way for all the Korean Artists to be recognized and that momentum of worldwide recognition continued all the way to BTS and Blackpink which is the fulfillment of the Kpop dream. They are now the biggest boy group and girl group in the world.

to be fair tho, only josh and stell met bts back in 2014. they were part of a cover group before that competed in s korea and as champions of the said competition, they get to meet bts which was a surprise by the organizers.

I’ve been watching these young men since the “WHAT” song debut and I’m so impressed with their personal journey, their eclectic musicality, and than their top level choreography. I watched them sing 💁🏻‍♀️🎧🎼🥰 S. KOREAN folk songs to older people, covered American Pop groups and remained POSITIVE through adversity by their own people in the PHILIPPINES. @@sserenity13 yes bts literally sing live, love that and respect to them. but have you ever watched an SB19 performance? they’re monster when it comes to vocals, not just vocals but the adlibs and the HARMONIZATION. you can watch their live performances especially the ballads. I recommend their performance in Round Festival Korea. A PPOP Group that don’t only dance as one but sing as one especially when they harmonize. It’s heaven. they were even compared to boyz ll mean that’s how amazing or GREAT they are. 😊 harmonize as real as it gets.

​@@zendaia5164 BTS do sing live, and also do adlibs and harmonies. There's just a difference in the intensity of the choreographies and between performance settings (when they literally have to sing at the same time while dancing). Because dancing intensely and singing at the same time is not innate for these idols, it takes work, stamina and endurance, which is why more than half of the industry k-pop focus on performance, thus end up lip syncing. So for BTS to sing live when it's not a norm in their industry, it's really special, especially since they are amazing performers. I think the comparison between the two vocalines (SB19 & BTS) have their own pros and cons. And I also wouldn't say that BTS are the best singers in the industry, but all of their vocalists have their own unique vocal color and very distinct voice tones, which makes their vocaline quite unique in the industry and presents a full range of voices. I also recommend seeing BTS ballads. :)
