Sbb 46.2 key programmer review

I ran into a problem. I wanted to program 2 extra keys for my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee for a total of 3 keys. When the SSB asked how many keys I wanted to program, I input 2. Then followed the directions on the screen. Only one of the keys would program, after testing. I then tried again, on the key that would not program, this time directing the SSB to program just one, but it would not do it. I am wondering if it is just a defective FOB, or if I did something wrong?

I read that with firmware update and TD232 cable will work on newer until you get to the PIN but my newest automobile is an 05 so I won't have that problem

I am looking to get this for my 2002 grand cherokee, but don't know if it will support a 99-04 Grand Cherokee. do you know if that is in the Jeep drop down menu?

2002 Grand Cherokee uses a pin code type 2 system in order to program that car you will have to have the four digit PIN code or obtain it from a locksmith that is registered or dealer going to the parts department with your VIN number and tell them you need the PIN code the programmer I would use would be the x100 it runs about $300 it would be able to program that but it will require a PIN code

From my experience no it would not mess it up it just wouldn't work it would say failure to connect and just not work if it wasn't going to work

Interesting...my friend has the ssb33 the compatibility list for Honda civic says up to 2005 I have 2006 would it work would I mess it up if I try. (Do you know why) or can it be software update. Any information would be appreciated. I am in the UK. Thanks for your video. John

Most of the SBB on the market are Chinese copies the original cost around 7 Grand the Chinese copies aren't updatable the only run about $100 most of the software on them do not work the only time I got mine to work correctly was what I used with older Fords the programmer that you could buy that would work good would be the X100 Pad 2 that would have no problem for over in that car have a great day

Older Chrysler's the programmers will not pull the pin code you'll have to get it right from the dealer newer Chrysler's program will pull the pin code the one I prefer is the X100 Pad 2 that's what I try first

Hi Steve! Is SBB pro 46.02 work on older Honda models? I have Prelude Base 2000 and Civic XL 2003, and my daughter got CR-V 2005! I have purchased SBB Pro2 48.99, and it didn’t work on the civic and prelude! Could not connect with the civic ECU! With the Prelude gave me only one option : “Replace IMMO ECU”, and I did not go any further;-)! It connected with my sons Toyota Camry 02 with options to add Master and Valley keys, but I did not have blanks to try it all the way to the end! I got in touch with people in China from the factory, and being told V48.99 will not work on older Honda models! They said I will need V46.02 for my cars! Since You have V46.02, did You program successful any Honda from my Hondas generation! As far as I know the key chips from that generation are all “Megamos 13l Thanks for Your Help, and Kind Regards!

All the sbb you buy on eBay or Amazon are cheap Chinese copies it really only do Fords good most other vehicles the program won't say failed to communicate but the genuine SBB or TKO made by Elko will do all the Hondas I recommend buying the X100 pad to this will do what you want to do is a little more expensive thanks Steve

But with some effort on my side, 8 out of 10 did the job and saved to me a lot of expenses! The good thing is I can return them! If seller is shipping from US, they take them back and in many cases they even give You a prepaid return label! In some cases I have payed return shipping to address in US, but I always got my money back! I think it’s worth the try, and learning something always comes with some cost;-) I will try and let You know of my experience! If it doesn’t work, I will return it and get X100! Are there any cheap fakes of x100 too?

Frank Torres all of these programmers program a key without having one that's what they're made to do is for locksmiths when people lose the keys for their car we come out and program a new key so they can go on their way some programmers do some cars good and some programmers do not do some cars good depends on the type of car hopefully this helps you think Steve

I'm not sure if it will work on that or not it is in the programmer but that doesn't necessarily mean it will work for this is a Chinese clone some stuff in there and does not work if I recall back I think I have programmed a Nissan but this programmer will not convert the PIN code you will have to order a pin code calculator there is an app you can download to do this you'll have to pull the BCM code first and convert that to a pin code before it allow you to program a key a programmer that will work would be the X100 pad2 this programmer is pretty decent programmer and should perform the procedure no problem it also has a built-in pin code calculator so you won't have to play pay for that app hopefully this helps Steve

Hi Steve, does the 33 version program GM keys? I know you can on-board program GM, but I’m looking for a cheap Chinese machine that can reduce the programming time from 30 min to 12 min. I have the Smartbox, which can do that, but it costs me $10 every time I use it. Can this machine, or any other Chinese machine reduce GM programming time down to 12 min?

Mr. E I haven't done a GM with that programmer in a while but if I remember right I did do a Avalanche round a 2006 with it and it worked it does have a count down. Similar to a Ford I think it's I forgot how many minutes it is a sprite around 10 minutes 5 remember correctly another programmer we might want to look at it would be the CK 100 and the version 46.2 that's a newer version than this and I think it would cover more vehicles for you if you're looking for a cheap programmer so hopefully that helps you

I can't recall if I ever program that car with this programmer if you came into my shop I would probably use the xpad 2 100 or skp 100 the only thing this programmer does good is older Fords it may be in the menu but it doesn't mean that it would actually program it good luck thanks steve

As far as I know the SBB is older technology and will only do Ford's older than 2010 if you'd wanted do newer cars you're going to have to get a tablet base programmer the one I prefer is X100 Pad 2
