Hi I'm 181cm and around 88kg trying to cut down to 85kgish and maybe compete at a lean 83, should I go for L or XL since I'm between sizes? I think my height might be tall for this weight class.

Then you might be better off with a L, although if you want a singlet you can grow into then XL might be the better long term option

I would probably recommend XL but L might as be a shout depending on if you want to stay 93 or plan on moving up long term also
