This is where you see the difference between really good players and awesome players. Jaedong in this position would've gone for the tech switch to Brood Lords with better micro defense to back it up. Sad that he was not in this final.

Zerg had sooo many more workers for awhile, and yet still was behind. How does that make sense? Terran is still just a little to strong, and this game proves that. Such a small amount of error that can come from Zerg.

ZERG107 Life had a horrible fight 14:00 minutes. I was surprised he didn't straight die after that tbh. I think the matchup is pretty much balanced.

ZERG107 Because Dream still had an actual base to mine with those workers from. Life was long distance mining for a long time at the end, workers don't mean anything if all your bases are dry

Jakob Zeimetz Terran Bio doesn't really have an answer against ling bane muta, unless we add mines to the mix along with the splits, and every engagement we pray to our gods that we can get a good widow mine connection, because if we don't we literally lose the fight, and the game.

jazhric Do you know that a zerg chooses ZBM because of it's cost efficency and it can be easily remaxed. And instead of a expensive roach hydra composition to fight a cheaper bio army it's better to go with the traditional ZBM and later transition into Ultralisks.

Yep, thats true too, but the only AoE damage dealers of zerg are banes, also mutas works pretty well to clean up drops.... So its well synergized, yet I dont see why you said there is no answer...

jazhric I'm just saying bio isn't a viable option without widow mines, because with constant splitting you will never win against a zerg ZBM as you can never have enough left to fight of the remaining zerglings and mutalisks, unless you do the innovation split. Widow mines detonation help lower your enemies supply, and give you edge if you could get a good connection, but higher level zergs always split there banes and zerglings in an engagement thus it's rare to see a widow mine with more than 5 kills. If there weren't widow mines Mech would be a much more viable option, but the problem is that more experienced zergs who knows how to efficiently use vipers(blinding clouds and hooks) and infestors(with their fungals) can easily tear apart mech player. TBH I just somehow mech it happen till diamond.

Summary of game: Life out-macros Dream. Life takes out a ton of SCVs. Life trades effectively in the engagements... then Widow mines. Mules + 12-marine production. then Widow mines. Seriously, if the top players are getting raped by WM's, what on earth are they expecting normal zergs to do against it?
