This wasn't a throw by any stretch. It was just insane play. Life had every right to finish the game on a couple of occasions, but DAMN Dream held on like a beast.

As of 2016 Life is no longer able to play sc2 competitively. According to the charges, he received money for losing several games in the year 2015, including this one. It is interesting to see just how hard Life had to try to throw that game in order to let Dream advance. His dominance is absolutely insane, he seems to decide to pace throughout the series. I just wish he could play in LOTV now.

Lol Life didn't throw this game or series. Don't know where you think you read that, because it isn't true.

I remember reading the charges on teamliquid about a year ago. It was several series in 2015 including a few matches in proleague. Look at it for yourself?

That is exactly where I am citing the information from. You are correct about pro league and he did throw some MAPS in Code A, but this far into a tournament you don't throw a map or a series. Hell, the difference between Ro4 and finals in this tournament was like 20 thousands dollars at least, you don't win in the ro32, ro16, ro8 just to throw in ro4 man. It's common sense, and nowhere did the report cite this series.

***** I believe you are correct there. Still shameful, but this series was 100% legit. And awesome XD

It wasn't a throw. It was just the imba...

I understand what you mean. It's just that being aggressive as zerg is much more difficult than it is with terran. Or lets say, it's much easier to defend as terran, compared to zerg. Easier to come back from offensive mistakes, or defensive ones. You have to kill terran and then make sure it's dead, and then you have to burn the corpse as well. Because seemingly, they can come back even if you destroy the expansion twice, kill the ramp twice, destroy tons of workers twice, just because it somehow got an upgrade advantage. Denying expansions is not enough because: mules. Destroying production is not enough because units have high value (especially with upgrade difference) and they can build reactors. Denying them agression is not enough because they are fine defending. Just play zerg and see if you can climb out of bronze. These guys are not like me, or you for that matter, they are pro's, surely life knows the importance of "upgrades", right? And you mean that Dream played better all the matches, definitively and absolutely, without any doubt, and thus he is the better player, because he won? But... I should have learnt my lesson well to call bad mouth on Blizzard because they are known for their perfectly balanced games and open minded fanboys, who definitaly will not jump on you with a couple of insults because you dared to criticize the balance of a game.

Perhaps the internet is filled with thousands of arguments like ours above, and perhaps there is no aim in trying to convince eachother.I know that I am not particularly good at starcraft, never went beyond diamond in 1v1, but I'm totally convinced is in TvZ, terran has the upper hand. Imagine, if Dream cut on workers, and assaulted Life, destroying his expansions twice, killing many of his drones, and destroying all the army he had. But life had the upgrade advantage. Would you honestly say life could have won then? Or the only way to play zerg is to not cut any drones, never ever, and not attack before the mid or endgame, which we could argue on forever who has the upper hand? While it's true that Life cut on probes, is it also not true that he delivered considerably huge damage to Dream, not once, but twice? I understand Dream never lost composure, and played the best of his ability under pressure, didn't make any more mistakes and swung the balance to the other way which is commendable and admirable, but I am convinced this game should not have been one of the comeback games, because delivered damage was too high. Anyway... Not like we are going to get anywhere with these comments.

Arconath Resonath what's with this completely irrelevant hypothetical exercise in futility? there are many situations where Zerg has a massive advantage due to the larvae mechanic. you're just sounding butthurt and ignorant. whatever damage life did wasn't enough. he never killed a cc, or killed enough scvs. not enough to offset the 3cc and massive upgrade difference. and, oh yeah, he got outplayed in game 7 as well. don't make this out to be some fluke win due to imbalance.

Life won against Maru in game 7 Intel Extreme Grand Final with an all-in before... so it is not like life never won with an all-in against terran defense before... I believe it's just Dream being good at keeping his marine alive (even took out a lot of muta in the defense too). We should gives Dream a lot credit too, you know, instead of terran imba.

Bad game from Life. Nice comeback, but Life really threw it away by taking too long to attack because he chased 1 drop with his whole army which he didn't even end up killing.. and then when he did attack, it was poorly executed(and also every attack after that.. ie wasting 2 banes going for SCV's when he should of gone for the mules.. first the drop, and then the SCV's. Wasted his time/money and didn't end up getting the kill = you're playing bad = you're gonna lose.. heh) and he also stayed way too long when he should have realized that the attack wasn't going to be successful. Also his third came way too long. That was just being cocky by not expanding(and then he also has the chance to saturate or to make more attacking units to finish the terran..), since after that he had no other option but to continue massing an army.. one WITHOUT upgrades and vs 2-2 or 3-3. Good luck with that.. But yes. Props to dream for holding. Those were some excellent splits. And also making life worry by sending a drop which made life pull his whole army back.. and then another single drop made life delay his attack and also send his whole army basically to chase it but it also got away. I think these were the moves that shows how bad life was playing. But yeah. Life has the micro/timing(like getting lings in, which he always does and is basically a game winning move) to make even bad strategic decisions work..
