Make a magnet fishing video for the bike when the bite gets slow. You can get some seriously strong magnets at home improvement centers. Tie it onto a rope and hope it's not a gun you pull up. lol

If possible, I'd sure give it a try. Maybe if you had a length of rebar, you could make something up like a grappling hook with an eye to attach a piece of rope. You could drag it along the area where it fell in. Yeah, I'd definitely give it a try. Hope you're able to find the bike and make a child happy. Stan

The tidal basin is loaded with smallies as is the entire river upstream from that point but to catch a smallie below the Wilson bridge is pretty rare, awesome vid!

get a neodymium magnet and got magnet fishing. When i take the kids out on the boat and the fishing is poor, we pull up to docks, bridges, etc. and go magnet fishing. You'd be surprise at the stuff you'll catch and sometimes, it's more fun than "real" fishing.

You could magnet fish for the bike, but I would think what you were trying with the large treble lure would have a better chance of snagging the spokes. It didn't seem like the guard or the woman knew the exact location where the bike went in the water. That (and the current) can make it more difficult to find. Did your fish finder see anything suspicious?

You can try the chain stringer you used to catch the rod you lost, it may not be strong enough for a bike though. =) I got the idea from your video and it helped me save the rod I lost a year ago.

Yeah, smallmouth are very rare in NJ. They are here in spots but mostly it is LMB, Pickerel, and Catfish. I did find out yesterday that there are Muskie, Pike, and smallies in the Manasquan Reservoir!

Smallmouth are a blast I'm mainly a trout fisherman but I've been getting into bass fishing it's a blast caught my first smallmouth two weeks ago broke my PB twice in the same day

I’ve caught several smallmouth in the Potomac river at the tidal basin and surrounding areas like near the airport. Go and target smallmouth it will be a great video.

Great area to fish. When they built the new bridge they sunk all the concreat from the old one in that area for fish structure! Old school it next time and you will kill em. That means throw the bomber fire tiger crankbait, and the 7' inch blue flake Berkley power worm. The two most successful lures in the history of the Potomac!👍😁

Find the Bike. Could drag a anchor. Hopefully you dont snag somethin else though and not get ur anchor back. Or a big weighted treble hook, file off the points though. Just a couple thoughts.
