Snowpiercer deserves so much recognition than what it has gotten. It's so sad that it had to fall into HW hand, that movie would've gotten so much buzz if only it had wide release cause it took a while for people to discover it.

For you guys who stil wonder why Bong mostly speak Korean, it is because Bong likes to joke but Korean jokes are often hard to be translated and his vocabs aren't diverse enough to deliver it.

My theory is that Bong purposely speaks Korean just for the dramatic effect, re: the part where he stopped right before mentioning Scorsese' name during his Best Director speech.
@tuvois10554 жыл бұрын
Kooma at the first time i think Bong is really good in english for daily conversation. However to give speech in Oscar with a more complicated and shocking state or in another interview about his movies which need him to speak in more complex words he prefer to use korean. But then.... i remember, this is the guy who tricked Harvey Weinstein 🤣🤣🤣 by lying that his dad is a fisherman, also a genius with a movie like Parasite. Then your theory probably true 😂

He was sick and tired of working with Weinstein and probably that was why he said he never wanted to do big scale movies anymore. Otherwise, we might have been able to see him directing some blockbuster movies as well.

well he was the distributor but at least it got out and made the name for the guy and new tv show... and other crazay shit from korean... he not a girl so weinstein not going doing anything to him.
@hsdonn6642 жыл бұрын
@@campkira Not sure Harvey made name for Bong. He was simply the distributor in North America (and it was a limited release anyway), and Bong's success was independent from this film's success. As you've seen in this interview, the film was produced by Korean producers and investors, neverthless Bong was able to cast hollywood stars and all because they all wanted to work with him. I don't think Harvey added so much in Bong's success. Bong was already there and would have made there without Harvey.

If you speak 2 to 3 languages, and English is one of them, switiching between your mother tongue and English is quite possibly the easiest thing for you. You don't even consider it a challenge.

This is why the left loves Bong Joon-ho Bong, Director of Parasite the Oscar winner for Best Picture, he is a liberal leftist. Bong was a member of the now defunct New Progressive Party (NPP) that was a left-wing political party in South Korea. The New Progressive Party was established by a number of Democratic Labor Party members (known as 'People's Democracy Faction') who left the party in reaction to the dominating Korean nationalist faction. Bong Joon-ho Bong has also voiced support, the defunct Democratic Labor Party that was a left-wing nationalist political party in South Korea. It was founded in January 2000, in the effort to create a political wing for the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and was considered more left-wing and more independent of the two union federations in South Korea. In December 2011, the party merged into the Unified Progressive Party. The South Korean government petitioned the Constitutional Court of Korea to dissolve the Unified Progressive Party due to their alleged pro-North Korea views Bong practically worships Martin Scorsese and his pal Robert DeNiro who both hate Donald Trump. I’m thinking that Bong Joon-ho hates Trump too and all Americans who voted for Trump. Maybe his whole crew hates Donald Trump. His movie Parasite was a Marxist type movie that Karl Marx would be proud of. In the end we can see the rich are the parasites over the poor. We can’t take our children to any of Martin Scorsese’s movies full of cuss words and bloody killings. So, I kinda think with Bong’s foul mouth and his drinking too much that he does not attend one of the loving joyful South Korean Christian Churches?

Dude take it easy, I found Parasite's rich were very realistic, not malicious, but just oblivious.
